Humagalpak ang tawa ni Cedric dahil sa sinabi ni Samora na tila ba, ito ay nakakatawa. Samantalang si Samora naman ay masama na ang tingin dito.
"What the heck is wrong with you, Cedric?" Galit na sambit ni Samora. She threw something not so heavy-object on Ced but he just dodged it. "I'll make sure that you'll pay if you ever dragged my daughter in this mess you made." She said in a serious tone.
Umupo si Cedric sa kabilang side ng kamang hinihigaan ni Peyton. "I'll never do that,"
He was just staring at Peyton, observes her and let out a big sigh.
"Peyton will never forgive me if I do that."
Tumingin si Ced sa cellphone niya, he seemed saw a message that made his expression changed quickly. It looks serious. Tumayo siya at halos patakbong naglakad palabas ng pinto at hindi na nagawa pang lumingon at magpaalam kay Samora.
"Bakit, Cedric?" Tanong ni Samora. Ngunit hindi na nasagot ni Cedric ang tanong niya dahil nakalabas na ito ng silid.
Nagtaka siya and at the same time nag-aalala siya. She was wondering if it is about Peyton's condition or anything that is related to them. Bumalik sa pagkaka-upo sa tabi ni Peyton si Samora, hinawakan ang kamay at hinalikan ito.
"Please, wake up na..." She whispered.
Maya-maya pa ay nakaramdam siya ng gutom. Tumayo siya at lumabas upang kumuha ng pagkain. Nakita niya ang isang kasambahay ni Ced na naghahain ng pagkain sa mahabang lamesa.
"Hi, Ms. Davis."
Gulat siya nang may tumawag sa surname niya. It was the doctor earlier.
"I'm Nicolai Gonzales," He then offered his hand for a hand shake. "But if you want to be formal with me, just call me Doc. Gonzales."
Nakipag-shake hands si Samora at ngumiti na lamang dito. No matter how much she wants to chitchat with this doctor, she just can't. She was exhausted.
"I'm the personal doctor of Ced," He said then sit. "And I'm also his lover, tho I'm 5 years older than him."
Nagulat si Samora sa sinabi ng doktor.
How come? Tanong ni Samora sa isip niya.
"I know, you're wondering why. We met 3 years ago at the hospital and he was confined for attempting suicid--" Biglang naputol ang sasabihin ng doctor nang biglang dumating si Cedric.
"You're not supposed to tell her that," Seryosong sambit ni Cedric. "Nics, I told you to stop that hobby of yours." May halong inis na sambit ni Cedric.
Nicolai just laughed.
"Okay, I'm sorry. Don't be mad at me na." Tumayo si Nico at lumapit kay Ced para yakapin ngunit bago pa man mayakap ni Nicolai si Ced, agad itong tumalikod at naglakad palayo.
"Don't make me feel embarrassed in front of my friend, we can't do PDA here." Nahihiyang sambit ni Ced. WHA--
Now, Samora was real confused. This is the first time she saw Cedric being like that, she didn't believe that Ced will be able to find love because of what Ced did to them. But she was still wondering why Ced was serious earlier, bigla na lang umalis at hindi nagpaalam.
"Bakit ka bigla umalis kanina?" She asked.
Lumapit si Ced at ibinigay ang hawak niyang cellphone kay Samora. Nabasa niya ang text mula sa unknown number and it makes it more confusing to her.
