"Sach, did you just kidnap someone?"was the first thing Sachin heard as he was woken up to water being splashed on his face by none other than his dear bestie Sourav.

"What are you going on about, you idiot? " he asked back irritated.

"Why is there a guy sleeping on your bed. He couldn't have got in on his own because this place has so many locks... And he looks like he had been tucked in." Sourav said accusingly. His bestie was crazy, but surely, he wasn't crazy enough to kidnap a child right?

"Why would you think that I have kidnapped him? I could have just peacefully brought him home."

"Why would you do that?" Sourav asked exasperated.

"Because I can and I wanted to." Sachin smirked.

"Who is that kid? " Jammy asked the only sensible question.

"I don't know.... I saw him playing at the academy practice ground at night yesterday. He was playing well so I thought I'd go and compliment him but then he passed out in my arms so I brought him back home."

"See Sach, the kid found you so scary that he passed out. Why were you out at night though?"

"Shut up Dadi and I was out because you idiot didn't pick up my call."

"And you didn't pick my call when I called you back." Sourav said.

"Yeah, where is your phone Sach? We both tried to reach you but your phone was switched off. Your phone is never switched off."

"Oh yeah my phone had died yesterday and I forgot to keep it for charge. "Sachin said sheepishly as he took his phone in his hand.

"As useless as ever I see." Sourav scoffed.

"How about a good cup of coffee both of you?" Jammy said as he saw Sachin open his mouth to retort.

"You make it!"both Sachin and Sourav yelled at the same time making Jammy sigh but inside he was smiling fondly at them. The three of them were still the same. The media and the world tried to tear them apart, making fake rift rumours. But they had stuck together and as long as the could be together, Jammy wouldn't mind being the mediator in the stupid fights his two insane besties kept having.

"Right. Sachin, please go and change. If you stay in those wet clothes for longer, you're gonna get sick. Dadi, clean up this mess. I'll go make the coffee and also go check on the kid. "

"But why am I cleaning the mess?" Dadi whined.

"Because you are the one who made it."both Sachin and Jammy said at the same time and they ignores Dadi when he muttered something about how his besties were ganging up on him.

Jammy walked into the kitchen and took out three cups and after a pause, he took one more. He didn't know what to think of the kid. He should have been concerned for the fact that his friend had literally had brought an unknown person to his farmhouse. All he knew was, when he saw the kid sleeping on his bestie's bed swaddled with the blanket, he wanted to know the kid more. He wanted to become closer to the kid and protect him. But he was a stranger right?

He turned on the coffee maker and went to check on the kid. He got inside the room and then he realised, he had no idea how to wake him up. Sach said that he was unconscious when he was brought to the farm house. How is he supposed to answer the kid about how he had reached here? Should he shake him awake? Or should he call it to the kid?

He slowly went towards the kid and caressed his hair. His eyes began to twitch and soon Jammy bhai was met with the biggest and most innocent eyes staring right at him. Alright, so this shouldn't be his first thought, but he couldn't help but think that the kid looked adorable. With those chubby cheeks ,humongous eyes, ruffled hair and the cute pout because he had been woken up from his sleep.

"Hey"he greeted the boy and the boy just stared right back at him with those wide eyes like a deer caught in the headlight.

"My friend said you passed out on the practice field and he brought you here. What's your name? My name is-"

"Rahul Dravid. I know." the kid tried to look calm but Jammy could see the excitement in his eyes.

"Well, so you know my name, it's only fair that I should know yours." Jammy said smiling at the boy. He felt kind of offended when the kid said his full name formally. He wanted the kid to call him bhai. But then he mentally slapped himself. The kid had just met him obviously, he won't call me Bhaiyya out of nowhere.

"Virat."the boy said simply. He looked like he was seconds away from jumping around.

"Right, Virat, do you drink coffee?" Virat just nodded in yes. "Okie then, I'll get to it. Can you freshen up and come towards the kitchen in 5 minutes?" he asked.

"Umm sir, where is the kitchen?" Virat asked.

"Oh, just go straight and take a left." Jammy said back smiling but felt disappointed when the kid called him sir.

"Do you need help?" Virat asked him.

"Are you any good at making coffee?"

"I think I am very good at it."

"Then come along fast." Jammy Bhai said as he wiggled his hand-a universal take my hand signal. He chuckled when he saw the kid spring up from the bed like a monkey and coming to grab his hand. He stopped mid way though looking unsure. Jammy bhai didn't like it.

"Kis muharat ka wait kar raha h? Aaja jaldi."
Jammy Bhai said as he grabbed his hand and took him out of the room. Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw Virat with a goofy smile on his face and he couldn't help but smile himself too.
