"LOOK WHO it is." Dustin says into his headset what was connected to his walkie.

Steve pulls out two buckets of meat out of his trunk and places them on the ground.

"Jesus, where did you find all of this?" I ask him.

He shakes his head and pulls the gasoline out of his truck.

"You don't wanna know." He says.

I grab a bucket of meat.

"Well, when you were having sister problems, Dart grew again, he escaped, and I'm pretty sure he's a baby Demogorgon." Dustin says into his walkie.

Steve grabs his bat and stuffs it into his bag and I grab my axe.

"I'll explain later. Meet me, (Y/N) and Steve at the old junkyard." Dustin says.

Steve throws the bag over his shoulder and I do the same with my axe.

"And bring your binoculars and wrist rocket." Dustin adds.

Steve closes his truck of his car.

"All right, let's go." He says.

I hand the bucket of meat to Dustin and he takes it from me.

"Just be there, stat. Over and out." Dustin ends his call and we start walking into the woods towards the train tracks.

"Who was that?" I ask him.

"Lucas," He says, "He couldn't believe Steve was here."

Steve turns to look at him.

"Why couldn't he believe I would be here?" He asks.

I look at Dustin.

"Honestly, I can't believe it, either." I say.

Steve gives me a look.

"What does that mean? Is that bad?" He asks.

I shake my head at him and smile.

We make it to the train tracks and I walk in front of Dustin and Steve as they leave a trail of meat behind them.

"All right, so let me get this straight." Steve begins, "You kept something you knew was probably dangerous in order to impress a girl who... who you just met?"

"All right, that's grossly oversimplifying things." Dustin says.

"Wait, is this the same girl at the school the other day?" I say, walking backwards to look at Steve and Dustin.

"Shut up, (Y/N)." Dustin says.

"Hey man, chill out." Steve says.

I roll my eyes and turn back around, walking forwards.

"I mean, why would a girl like some nasty slug anyway?" Steve asks.
