Fury walks in surprised to see us seating around.
"What are you doing, Mr. Stark?" He asks dad, stopping in the middle of the room.

"Uh...kind of been wondering the same thing about you." Dad retorts.

"You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract." He states.

"We are. The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile." Bruce replies.

"And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss." Dad replies. The monitor in front of him beeps. "What is PHASE 2?" He asks and I frown.

I remember Fury instructing agent Hill to gather it the other night.

Suddenly, Steve drops a weapon on the table causing Fury, Banner, dad and I to turn around. He looks really pissed.

"PHASE 2 is SHIELD uses the cube to make weapons." Steve speaks. "Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow." He continues turning to dad and I.

"Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're..." Fury tries to explain.

"I'm sorry, Nick." Dad cuts him off when the screen shows plans of an atomic weapon. "What were you lying?"

"I was wrong, director. The world hasn't changed a bit." Steve says.

Thor and Natasha walks into the room, her eyes were trained on Bruce like he was a threat. I didn't like it, not one bit.

"Did you know about this?" Bruce asks angrily.

"You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, doctor?" She asks.

"I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed." Bruce replied.

"Loki's manipulating you." Natasha replies.

Why won't they see that this isn't about Loki anymore? This was about them using the Tessaract for weapons.

"And you've been doing what exactly?" Bruce asks.

"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you." Natasha replies.

"Yes, and I'm not leaving because
suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction." Bruce insists.

"Because of him." Fury answers.

"Me?" Thor asks in surprise.

"A few years ago, earth had a visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that leveled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone, but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned." Fury explains.

"My people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor defends.

I could feel a migraine forming.

"But you're not the only people out there, are you? And, you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, they can't be controlled." Fury counters.

"Like you controlled the cube?" Steve asks.

"You're work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is the signal to all the realms that the earth is ready for a higher form of war." Thor shouts.

"A higher form?" Steve asks.

"You forced our hand. We had to come up with something." Fury replies.

"Nuclear deterrent. Cause that always calms everything right down." Dad scoffs.

"Remind me again how you made your fortune, Stark?" Fury jabs.

"I'm sure if he still made weapons, Stark would be neckdeep..." Steve starts and I snap my head up.
