A L E X

5 MONTHS OLD

Ki and Sasha's wedding is in less than a month and I haven't been happier.

Sasha is my best friend and he's marrying the woman of his dreams.

I'm his best man and my fiancé is the bride's maid of honor.

I don't know how I ended up so lucky

"I do" Ivy speaks up and I widen my eyes.

Was I speaking out loud this entire time?

"You do what?" I furrow my brows, I've been thinking out loud a lot lately.

"I know how you ended up so lucky" She smiles sitting on my lap.

"And how's that?" I smile playing with the ends of her braids.

"I'm not gonna tell you but I'm happy you know how lucky you are" She gently kisses my lips before standing up.

"Where's Sunny?" I immediately change the topic.

"She's somewhere rolling on the floor, I can't keep up with her. I can wait for her to start crawling because damn that child has energy"

"Ivy you can't just leave her on the floor" I stand up to see Soleil laying on her mat and I'm relieved.

"What you thought I just left her on the dirty floor?" Ivy squints at me coming to sit on the mat next to Sunny.

"Yeah" I confess and she rolls her eyes.

"Well I didn't, right Soleil mommy would never forget about you" She kisses her cheeks, and Soleil laughs.

Soleil's laughter has been one of my main sources of happiness along with Atlas's little tummy time.

Speaking of, Sasha took Atlas out because he feels like they haven't had enough godfather-godson time.

I honestly blame Atlas himself because he's so wrapped up in Ivy that he ignores everyone else in the house.

Ivy was knocked out from parenting and Atlas was practically attached to her hip. I had to peel him off of her.

He's obsessed with my fiance and she doesn't even realize it.

"I think we deserve a night out" I mumble to Ivy.

"It hasn't even b-" She starts but I cut her off.

"It's been five months, we haven't gone to a club, a party, anything really and we're like what 22 or 23 now?" I sit up and she slightly frowns.

"I'm still breastfeeding and I can't do party-like things if our kids are getting fed from me." She sits Sunny on her lap sitting up too.

"That's why we've had formula set up in the house for months" I remind her.

"I know but I feel like it's so selfish, they love my boobs and I don't wanna take that away just so I can go and party" She's right.

"Okay so how about we give it a couple more months? Till our babies are at like 8 or 10 months maybe? Then we can the switch." I offer.

"I like that idea better and we can still go out and have fun, just not the drugs and alcohol kinda fun" She adds and I nod.

"You wanna come to my practice?" I randomly offer.

"It's April, I thought the season was over?" She squints.

"It is but I have a final practice" She just shrugs, agreeing anyways.
