Out of the Dark & Into the Light

Rose's Pov

I was so angry when I left the room that Jackson was in that I didn't notice a certain southern vampire standing in front of me. I couldn't believe how inconsiderate Jackson was to Crystal's feelings. I mean, I could have cared less about Jasper, but Crystal is my best friend, and she's the one who saved me from being a blood bank to an underground vampire group. I think it's time for me to come clean to her and Jasper. This guilt is tearing me up inside, and I don't know if I can hide this truth any longer. 

I soon was broken out of my thoughts when I bumped into a hard brick wall, well I thought it was a brick wall until I looked up and came face to face with the person I never wanted to see since his human days. The glare on his face was so intense that I couldn't help but feel intimidated by him.
The shock left my system, and I glared back at the person I thought I would never see again, but I was wrong. It felt like Jasper, and I stood there glaring at one another for hours, but it was only minutes; heavy silence soon filled the room. You could hear Jackson in the other room mumbling to himself. Until I broke the glare and the heavy silence,

"Hello Jasper, nice seeing you again," I stated coldly.

"Rose? Is that you?"

"Yes, it's me."

"How are you alive, and how do you still look young? I know you are not a vampire, so what are you? And why does your blood smell delicious?" He asked me. 

"Not that it's any of your business how I am alive and young. It's because I'm a half-witch and half-fairy. My mother was a witch, and my father was a fairy. But you wouldn't know that since my mother, older sister and I hid our abilities from humans because we were too afraid to be hunted and burned at the stake by you humans. And my blood smells delicious because of my fairy side." 

The look of astonishment was on his face. I'm assuming he never knew that witches and fairies were real until he met Crystal. This is stupid because if vampires and shapeshifters are real, you would think that other mythical creatures were also real. But it's not really a surprise to know that vampires don't know about fairies since they no longer live in this dimension. The same goes for witches, one day the elders decided they should follow in the footsteps of the fae and created a dimension for all people who were inhabited with magic to create a safe haven so what happened with the witch trials in Salem would never happen again. However, there are still some witches living on earth but not that many since they all decided to leave earth after The Witch Trails in Salem.

"So, you knew about the supernatural world, even when I was human."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes at him. The nerve of him, how dare he call me a liar, I should turn his sorry ass into ash, but that would without a doubt hurt Crystal I knew that Jackson would jump for joy if he saw me burn Jasper to a crisp. But instead of burning him, I showed him my wings.

A glimmer of shock came upon his face but was soon replaced with that constipated look he always has on his face.

"Yes, I've known about the supernatural world, but it was never my place to tell someone who owned my family at the time. Or are you forgetting my mom, sister, and I were your family slaves. Now if you don't mind I have somewhere to be."

I shouldered checked him and left him standing in the hallway without giving him a chance to say anything back to me.

I made my way out of the house and towards Jackson's house in silence.

When I finally arrived at Jackson's house, I could see that Crystal, Hiro, Maddie, and Jade were putting their gear inside the car.

"Hey, guys, sorry I'm late."

"Where ya been Rose?" Asked Maddie while blowing a bubble with the piece of gum in her mouth.

"You made it just on time girl. We're going vampire hunting." Jade says with a smile.

"Don't mind them, babe. It's just been a while since we all hunted a vampire with Crystal since she went off to help her family." Hiro states while walking up to me placing a gentle kiss on my lips.

"I've been busy with something, by the way, crystal can I talk to you after this mission please, it's really important."

"Sure sis, Also, Jade will fill you in on the way to what this mission is."

"Alright, let's get going then." I said, climbing into the car. As we drove off, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. I knew that revealing the truth to Crystal and Jasper would change everything. But it was a risk I was willing to take. After all, they deserved to know the truth.

A/N- So in honor of my 31st birthday which is today I will post this chapter that has taken me so long to publish, I'm not proud of this chapter and I wanted it to be longer but was having serious difficulties producing something. When I finish this book, I will come back to this chapter. This is also my birthday pic 😊 down below.
