"No, why does this look off? Maybe it's . . . ?" Ena sat at her desk, trying to finish the drawings she promised Amia she'd send them tonight. It was almost 25:00, and she still wasn't even done the sketch.

Frustrated, she changed the colours and adjusted the contrast.  It still didn't look right.  Something's missing . . .

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

"You don't have what it takes to be an artist."

Ena gripped her stylus harder. She knew that voice. Knew that line.
How could he think that she'd just give up because he hurt her?!

Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. STUPID.

"Shut. Up." she whispered under her breath. Slowly, Ena released her death grip on her poor stylus and tried to breathe.

*beeeep beeeep beeeep beeeep beeeeeeeep*

Oh, was it already time? "Dammit-" Ena muttered under her breath. Did she really have to waste her time being-
Whatever.

Begrudgingly, she awoke her computer monitor and joined N25's voice chat.

Nightcord at 25:00

Depressed Girls (but they're also hot) Singing

Ena laughed softly. Of course Amia would change the group chat name like that.
Amia's face as they cried popped into her head.

. . . if they can fool around like this, they must be feeling better . . . . . right?
But what made Mizuki upset in the first place? And why did they refuse to tell her?

K_omposerrr
25:02
[Alright, I just finished the demo. *sighs* Would you guys tell me what you think?]

K_omposerrr added a new file.

Yuki
25:02
[Kanade . . . why did you change your username?]

K_composerrr
25:03
[. . . . Amia told me to.]

Amiazing_Videditor
25:03
[Isn't it an 'amiazing' username?!]

Yuki
25:03
[Is that why you DM'd me asking to change my username to Yukyricist?]

Amiazing_Videditor
25:03
[Not my best work. Your name doesn't make it as convenient. Just think if I could find something better! It would be so easy for our listeners to identify us!]

Enanan
25:03
[How could you guys just leave K hanging like that talking about useless stuff?]

Amiazing_Videditor
25:04
[Enanan! You finally came; I was starting to think you'd forgotten about us!]

Enanan
25:04
[I wasn't even that late. Jeez . . .]

Mizuki, Mafuyu, and Ena were muted as they simultaneously listened to the song.

Amiazing_Videditor
25:07
[I liked the pre-chorus a lot, but the pitch and pacing of the chorus is a little off.]

K_omposerrr
25:07
[Unhh, I thought so too. I've got some solutions in mind, but I'm not sure which direction to go in.]

Enanan
25:07
[You could lower the pitch to better contrast the pre-chorus. I think it'd sound better if you made it softer at the beginning, then added violin or something at the climax.]

Amiazing_Videditor
25:07
[Look at our precious Ena, growing up to be so nerdy!]

All three girls ignored them.
Ena wondered again if Mizuki was really okay enough to make jokes.

K_composerrr
25:07
[Those are good ideas. I'll start on that . . . combine it with some of my ideas . . . I'll get back to you guys with some different variations to vote on.]

Enanan
25:08
[What about you, Yuki?]

Yuki
25:08
[What do you mean . . .]

Enanan
25:08
[What did you think of Kanade's demo?]

Yuki
25:08
[I agree with Amia. The pitch and pacing was off. It made the song feel inconsistent and disjointed.]

Enanan
25:08
[You know that's not what I meant.]

Yuki
25:09
[It hurt my heart . . . . I felt this ache in my chest.]

K_composerrr
25:09
[My song . . . . hurt you?]

Yuki
25:09
[ . . . . ]

All the quartet could hear was Mafuyu's breathing before Mizuki interrupted.

Amiazing_Videditor
25:10
[That means she felt something! Yuki must've related to your song, and dredged up something.]

Yuki
25:10
[It made me feel . . . . . it made me feel . . . . looser.]

Enanan
25:10
[You mean calm?]

Yuki
25:10
[Yes. Calm.]

K_composerrr
[I'm glad.]

Well at least someone was glad.

Ena sure wasn't.

She was too busy trying to figure out Mizuki.
Ena had been trying to do it for months. Bringing them to the mall fo
cheer them up.
Introducing them to her idol friends.
Nothing worked.

Months had passed . . .
. . . and she'd gotten nowhere.
