"What's the problem?" I leaned out of the carriage that was going to take me to the Ackerman Estate before I reunited with my beloved body.
"It seems like a carriage up ahead is stuck in the mud," a guard explained, "we'll have to wait for them to clear out of the way."

"Is everyone alright?" I frowned, staring out at the gray skies, "it looks like it's going to rain soon."

"One of the wheels seems to have broken but other than that it appears to be fine."

"What do you think Farlan?" I glanced over at the frowning aide.
i personally have no issue with inviting someone into levi's carriage- i mean if it's a woman we could even start some scandalous rumors
"We should get to the Ackerman Estate as quickly as possible, help them out however you want," he shrugged.

"Do you have any idea who it is?" I asked the guard.
"It seems to be a noble lady, it's difficult to make anything out other than that."

"Farlan, I was going to see if they wanted a lift in the luggage carriage but I can't let a noble lady ride in a place like that so-"
"I'll go," he sighed loudly, "should I let the Lady and her staff know?"
"Yes please!"
from the looks of it she's unaccompanied aside from a guard and a maid
"Have a few members of our guard stay behind and help them fix their carriage, I'll bring her to the estate with me," I issued out a quick order, before shutting the curtains to the carriage.

"Wow-" I couldn't help but let a gasp of adoration escape me before I composed myself and helped her inside.

"You're gorgeous," I kissed her hand, as she sat down, before taking my seat across from her.

"The carriage has already started moving," he pointed out, getting comfortable.
"I'll stop it then."
"It's raining."
"So what? Stand outside in the rain until someone picks you up."
"My reputation."
"You must really be desperate if you think that's going to work on me."

"You must really not care about the clothes you spent my money on," Levi scoffed, turning away from me.

The green dress looked just as good as I thought it would, even in the dim light of the carriage the details on it stood out and drew your eye to the person wearing it.

"Only because of the dress," I avoided making eye contact with him. "It's easier like this anyway, I didn't want you running around my house unattended."
at least this way he won't be alone in my house
"You're so charitable," Levi muttered dryly, rolling his eyes.

"Truthfully I don't see the issue with it, we need to start rumors like that so we have an excuse to be seen together," I shrugged.

"What have they been saying?" I sighed, rubbing my temple. "I haven't heard anything."

He paused, "listen I know that you were angry with me but I really thought that you wouldn't be so stupid as to spread rumors that hurt you too."

"Are you stupid?" I couldn't help but laugh at the expression that Levi was making.
"So you did-"
"No I didn't-" I burst into another fit of laughter. "You must be joking."
His expression relayed everything I needed to know.
