Ares

*Boom*

It exploded. And did so again, and again, and again.

Whatever it touched it disappeared.
Whatever it aimed at, it destroyed.
No matter what you throw at it, it disperses.
No matter where you go, it follows.

You can't escape it. You can't destroy it.
You can't dodge it. You can't deny it.
The only thing left for you to do is accept your fate.

Tremble in fear. Salute in awe
Cuz no matter what, you are going to fall.

Such was the feeling that you felt when you witness it. Its power. Its invincible. 

<Notice: The individual in front is no longer alive. It has turned into a weapon of destruction. The ancient weapon 'Ares'. Confirmed. Target has the ability to interchange mass and energy>

'Ah. That is apparent by the number of explosions and energy beams he blasted in the last few seconds'

"What the hell is this thing!" shouted Shiki as he was just hit by another energy blast.

Ares was dead set on killing Shiki. It was invincible. If Shiki threw projectiles, it simply absorbed them. If he hit him with haki, he would grab Shiki's limb and start converting into energy, so Shiki couldn't make contact with him for too long. And any damage Shiki's attack might do, was simply recovered by Ares turning energy into mass and reinforcing himself. 

Ares landed on the ground, picked up a large rock, absorbed it, and launched multiple high energy beams at Shiki with 'lock on' feature, which will keep on following him forever till they hit him.

Seeing as both running and range attacks were useless, Shiki decided to engage in close quarter combat, turned himself into graphene, created body doubles, and started attacking with haki and plasma coated fists. And so, the duel between Shiki and Ares went on.

"This is too much. No wonder this guy was the strongest ancient weapon" said Leon

"He can literally destroy the world if he absorbs a big enough chunk of mass and fire the energy beam towards the center of the earth" said Luminas.

"Right. So what do we do now?" asked Dagruel.

"Lets see. He said we are going to get one chance to pull it off, and we will realize when we see it... Do you guys notice anything like that?"

Then the all of them observed the battle for a while, which was mostly just explosions and 'Shiki in pain'.

Shiki thought that if he doesn't let Ares come in contact with any materials he would be helpless, so he flew up higher in the sky. The next thing he saw, Ares opened its mouth and blew in huge amounts of air, and continued blasting.

"Shit. Looks like this is no use. This way its just tougher to eliminate its attacks" thought Shiki as he regretted his decision since he now had energy beams incoming form all directions at once. There was no avoiding it and he had to take a blast. As soon as he landed, Ares started absorbing chunks of ground, and kept doing it until Shiki interrupted him. And this sequence repeated for a while when-

"I got it!" shouted Milim "we just need to keep Shiki from interrupting it so that it manages to gather enough power to eliminate Shiki in one blast" 

"Yes that's right" said Guy.

"But then the problem will be that we will have to deal with Ares" said Leon 

"Alright. I got it. Here is the plan" and then Rimuru explained everything.

"Kufufufu Perfect. As expected of Rimuru sama. Each one of us shall do our part with perfection" said Diablo proudly.

"Of course. Now then lets begin"

With that, Rimuru and Diablo jumped at Shiki and engaged in combat. Dagruel made a thick wall and he, Guy and Luminas started infusing it with Haki, to make it as strong as possible. Milim and Leon jumped up and started gathering power for their most powerful attack. Veldora created multiple storm vortexes, and gathered their lightning at one point and began charging his ultimate move as much as possible. 

"I see what you are doing here. If I am supposed to die anyway, might as well take the world with me" said Shiki.

"5 seconds remain!" shouted Dino

"3.... 2...... and jump!" as soon as Dino shouted that, the land under them disappeared. Ares had absorbed the entire Heaven. And not only that. Heaven's path had also been absorbed due to it being in direct connection to Heaven.

Shiki ignoring anything else, rushed straight under Ares, in between it and the Earth's center. Last moment Rimuru and Diablo managed to bring Shiki at an angle, so that the energy blast doesn't point towards earth and destroys it. 

The next moment, Dino came in and teleported Rimuru and Diablo away, and Ares released the entire energy condensed into a single beam, towards Shiki, which he was unable to dodge. The beam had so much energy condensed in it, that it was supposed to vaporize and kill Shiki in 4 seconds, even at full defense. 

3 seconds later, that is one second before Shiki dies completely, Dino teleported Luminas, Dagruel, Guy and Veldora in the middle of the beam, just in front of Shiki, with the strong wall covering, which was supposed to last them half a second. At the same time, Veldora released his attack, which countered the flow of the beam and bought them a second more. At that moment, Guy stopped time for a second, allowing only Luminas to move in it. All in all they had 2.5 seconds for Luminas to store Shiki's live heart in her elixir, and as soon as the time was up, Dino teleported them back to safety outside. 

1 second after Dino had teleported the four of them inside, Milim and Leon attacked Ares's core with their strongest attacks simultaneously. It was a critical hit! 

And so, the mission to eliminate Shiki, secure his devil fruit, and take care of wild Ares was successful. All in all, if even one of them would have missed their mark, the mission would have failed.

5 seconds after Milim and Leon hit Ares's core, it shattered. Ares was destroyed. The strongest ancient weapon capable of destroying the earth was no more. The remaining Ares's head turned towards them. 

"Thank you" 

A silent voice could be faintly heard saying those words.

"Did you hear something just now Leon?" asked Milim.

"Hmmm I can't say I did" replied Leon, as Ares's body turned to ashes and disappeared.

Author's note: Do share your thoughts regarding this arc. Next chapter will conclude this arc. I kinda get that this is a weak arc since some people left in between, but I would be sure to make the next arc better. Thx for reading.
