Chapter 4 || Love me

Engfa's pov:

I needed a distraction. Now. I can't deal with the feelings for Charlotte when I know she doesn't feel the same.
After we went back to the booth and drank some more I couldn't help but notice how beautiful Charlotte is, the way she smiles, the way she laughs. All of it. It all made my heart skip a beat, but I wish it was the same for her when she thought about me. I couldn't help but overthink and the alcohol isn't making it any better, so I decided to go back to the dance floor.

I was dancing on my own till a girl came along. She was pretty but not beautiful like My Charlotte, I danced with her since I needed a distraction anyways.
The way she danced with me made my thoughts go away, it wasn't platonic but it wasn't romantic. Which I'm glad for that since my heart will always be with Charlotte, we danced and danced unaware of a pair of eyes watching me. I just danced like I didn't care until I felt a pair of lips on mine.
I was shocked so I just stood there until I was able to catch on fully of what was happening.
I pulled away as fast as I could and immediately looked around. My eyes caught our booth and saw the girls looking worried, where's Charlotte? She's not there.

I ran away from the girl and went to the booth. "Where did Char go?"
"Bathroom, you should go check on her" Nudee said

I went into the washroom to find Charlotte trying to fix her makeup in the mirror. "Char what's wrong?" I asked concerned
"Engfa go away" she sternly says
"Char please tell me what's wrong, why are you crying" I said softly "you didn't even care to stop, you didn't even pull away!"
"What are you talking about?"
"That girl you were dancing with. She fucking kissed you and you didn't even care to stop it! Why Engfa. Why are you doing this to me?" Her voice got softer as she finished, she just kept crying. "Why are you upset about that?" I asked confused
"Because I fucking love you!"
I stood there in shock, never have I expected her to say this. I never expected her to feel the same.
I assume she took my silence as a rejection so she ran out crying leaving me alone in shock.
"Fuck!" Why am I so stupid. I should have said something, now she thinks I don't feel the same. I silently scolded myself hoping she's okay, I never meant to make her cry. I should have explained to her the whole situation when I got the chance.
I ran out of the bathroom looking for her but I couldn't find her so I went back to the booth but she wasn't there either. "Where's Char?" I asked worried "she went home. Why was she crying?" Heidi asked worriedly trying to figure out why her bestfriend was crying. "I fucked up, she told me her feeling but I didn't say anything cause how shocked I was and she took it as rejection and left" I say with tears running down my face. "What are you waiting for! Go get your girl!" Nudee said "Go!" Tina yelled. I smiled at them and made my way to her house hoping she's okay and hoping she'd give me a chance to explain.

This chapter is a rollercoaster, but prepare yourself for the next one. I won't say wether it's a good thing for a bad thing 🤭
