Azrael pov:

My eyes shoot open as I grab the gun from under my pillow. Sitting up I aim the weapon at the person standing above my bed. They step back and hold their hands up. Getting a better look I recognize who it is.

"Rose? What the hell?" I whisper, slowly and quietly getting out of bed.

"Do you pull a gun on everyone?" She said a little too loud. Looking at Amilia I find her still sleeping peacefully.

"Let's talk somewhere else. I don't want to wake her." I grab some sweats and a shirt before leading us out of the room.

Shutting the door quietly we move to my study, going out to the balcony. Grabbing a cigarette I light it up and wait for her to speak.

"We're all here. Lily is in her room sleeping and Johnathan has moved Claudio into his own room." She leaned on the railing, looking over the vast land behind my house.

"Is he awake?" I let out a cloud of smoke. She shakes her head and sighs.

"No, but I think it's safer out here anyway." Rose was never one to worry, not even over us. It was limited to small gestures or gifts but never vocalized.

"Is there something you'd like to tell me?" I gave a warm smile, letting the cig hang between my fingers.

She seems to think it over for a moment, biting her lip and gripping the railing tightly. When her eyes found mine I saw a tear slip out, Rose never cried.

"I want him to be okay… I don't want to lose him." Her voice cracked as she spoke. Nodding my head I take a hit and pat her shoulder.

"I had a feeling." I shake my head with a small chuckle. She looked confused.

"You knew?" She wiped the tear from her eye, steeling her emotions again.

"Not right away but… your level of concern is unnatural. Dots connected after that." It was quiet for a moment, neither of us willing to break the silence.

Her body was thrown into mine with a desperate hug. She clung to my shirt, burying her face into my chest. I held her tightly, soothing my fingers through her hair as she wept silently.

"I'm right here Rose." I whisper, squeezing her half to death. She nods her head and sinks into my touch.

I'm unsure how long we stayed like that, but I was able to finish my cigarette and see the moon starting to come out. She felt gross with emotions so she never talked after having an 'outburst'. Giving me a peck on the cheek she left for the night and went to her shared room with Claudio.

Going back to my room I quietly snuck in, making sure to not wake the sleeping Amilia. Going to her side of the bed I look down at her beautiful features, my fingers brushing loose hair from her face. She is my everything, my light, my heart, even my sanity.

A quiet knock from the door pulled me away, Axe showed his face as he opened it slightly. He nodded to the hallway and I agreed, following him out to talk. Going out I shut the door again and saw a concerned look on his face.

"What is it?" He pulled a letter from his jacket and handed it to me. Confused, I grabbed it and looked it over.

Greenwood

A beautiful royal green colored name on the front. Opening it up I read it over, confused on how he had gotten this to me.

'Midnight tonight, Everclear Ave, don't be late. We need to talk.'
