THE NEXT DAY

"When are they rebuilding the statue?" It's been months since Twilight's outrage but the school's mascot was still M.I.A.

"Iunno." Dash followed you as you deterred from your usual path to the front doors, instead walking to the concrete structure.

oh, there's a crack   —You got on your tip-toes but only saw the fissure when you grabbed the edge of the podium and stood on a small ledge. Dash put her hand against your back for further support.

"Can you see up here?" you looked back at Dash. She was in one of her more heeled shoes, making her height approach the 6-foot range, if not already in it.

She shook her head. "Just the light. Is it broken or something?"

"Yeah, there's a crack."

"[Your name]!" You and Dash both looked over. It was one of the security guards.

Despite his booming voice, he smiled, "Please get down. There is absolutely no vandalizing the statue."

vandalizing? with what, my dirty shoes?   —Still, you abide. "ごめん."
- Gomen → Sorry

Dash moved her hands to grab your waist as she brought you down, but just before the top of the statue was out of your sight, you watched a stable stream of white energy flow toward you. It was attracted to your left arm, perhaps your wrist to be more specific as it traveled under your hoodie sleeve. You felt it go inside of you, causing goosebumps.

"Did that go to you?" The current was thick enough for Dash to see. She quickly set you down and examined your body.

"...Yeah." Besides said goosebumps, nothing else felt physically different.

Dash's eyes showed genuine worry. "Can I lift your sleeves?" You nod, but only your typical, bi-colored skin revealed. Assuming you were seconds away from being corrupted by Equestrian magic, your bracelet, unfortunately, wasn't any different.

Dash sighed, rolling your sleeves back down. "You need to tell me if anything feels out of the ordinary, anything. I don't care how small it is."

"Okay," you smiled, lifting your hands and getting on your tip-toes. You gently held Dash's face and pecked her lips seeing how upset she was becoming, "but I'm okay."

"...No offense," You already started laughing, "but I've watched two of my friends get access to too much Equestrian magic, and without experience, and turn into monsters. I don't want, or need, that happening to you."

"Fair." You couldn't argue with logic, or rather the lack thereof. Magic was unpredictable. "I'll tell you if I have diarrhea."

"I'm serious! you.. can. I don't know if I wanna know, that's kinda gross, not gonna lie..." You laughed as you led the way to the school.

"Actually, when's your period?"

"I already had it. I was on it the first three days of Spring Break."
