THE NEXT DAY
SECOND PERIOD

"Hey," Sunset called. You looked over as she sat in the vacant seat next to you.

"You okay? Rainbow Dash told me what happened yesterday morning."

You nod. "I really am fine. I don't know what else to tell people. Nothing has changed."

She hummed. "You don't feel.. particularly drawn to any objects?"

"Not unusually, no, but I always wear my bracelet. It's really special." You scrunched up your hoodie sleeve to show Sunset. "My dad made it for me, though. It's not new."

"Neither were the Dazzlings' amulets..." Her eyes suddenly widened. "Not that- I hope you don't think I think that you're evil or something," she smiled.

"But.. I can't understand the magic here, and I would feel... awful if something happened to you. You're just here by association, and Canterlot really doesn't need another scandal," Sunset softly laughed.

"No, I get it." You pulled your sleeve back down.

She nod. "I told Princess Twilight - sorry if it feels like everyone knows your business. We all are really worried about you - but she said it's unusual that someone isn't immediately affected after interacting with Equestrian Magic, considering me and Twilight were. So she thinks you and Rainbow Dash being so close made your body used to it, in a way."

"Which.. may be scary to think about since that means your DNA has literally changed, but it's okay. I think everything's gonna be fine." Sunset stared at you with a nervous smile for some sort of approval. You quickly nod when you realized this.

She laughed. "You don't care, do you?"

You shrugged. "I just think there's worse things in the world; I'll be fine."

Sunset then got up, returning to her desk. "Well, keep us updated. After a week, I think we can safely say it was nothing." You nod.

"Buenos días, chicos," Ms. Pansy started as she walked into the classroom. Since the first day of school, she's always been the last to arrive for she makes last-minute copies of the assignment.
- Good morning, guys.

"Estoy seguro de que todos están emocionados de que la escuela termine en dos meses," she smiled as she passed out a blank sheet of paper, "porque estoy seguro."
- I'm sure you're all excited that school ends in two months, because I sure am.

"Pero todavía tenemos trabajo que hacer. Tu calentamiento es muy simple: solo dime qué hiciste durante las vacaciones de primavera."
- But we still have work to do. Your warm-up is very simple: just tell me what you did over spring break.

"Solo tienes que compartir si quieres, pero estoy recopilando esto para un formativo de seis puntos. Sin embargo, no tiene que ser elegante, solo algo para mejorar sus grados. Sé que recibiré la misma respuesta de algunos de ustedes debido al viaje a Camp Everfree."
- You only have to share if you want to, but I am collecting this as a six-point formative. However, it doesn't have to be fancy, just something to boost your grades. I know I'll be getting the same answers from some of you because of the trip to Camp Everfree.

"Pero, ¿cómo fue?" She stood at the front of the classroom. "Aquellos de ustedes que fueron, ¿fue divertido?" The classroom laughed at the ambiguous noise that was collectively made by the attendees.
- But how was it? Those of you who went, was it fun?

Mrs. Pansy laughed, "What happened?"

"Magic happened," Sunset answered for everyone.

"Hm," she chuckled. "¿Alguien resultó herido?"
- Was anyone hurt?

"No," she shook her head. "Todos estábamos bien en el final, solo... muy agitado."
- No. We were all fine in the end, just... very hectic

LUNCH

"You should start sitting with your friends again," you gently recommend as Dash sat down. You felt guilty at times, considering you were perfectly fine with being alone. Dash had developed a schedule earlier in the year, but last week she was especially clingy. Now with yesterday's events, it's been more than a week since Dash sat with her friends.

Her relaxed expression lowered as she stared at you in utter exasperation. You sheepishly smiled, "Or not."

She sighed but matched your smile. "Why do you think you're not my top priority?"

"I do." Dash's expression showed that she was clearly unconvinced. "Just... I don't want you to think that you have to do certain things."

"I don't," she smiled. "I don't do anything I don't want to, for you or for anybody. If I'm doing something it's because I want to."

"...Well, anyway, how's raising money for Camp Everfree going?"

Dash laughed but accepted the sudden change in topic. "Really slow actually. The six of us were joking about asking you to donate all the money one day."

You deadpanned, but Dash stopped you. "I said joking!"

"Shame." You shook your head. "はじをしれ."
- Hajiwosire → Shame on you

Alas, you chuckled. "Why don't you get Rarity to do it? I thought she had wealthy parents too?"

"She's more.. extremely comfortable, like high middle class. She's not rich, but we all did pitch in some of our money at the start and she did give the most." You hummed.
