APRIL 2018
[YOUR NAME]'S HOUSE — A FEW DAYS EARLIER

"Go!" Dash urged as she held your face. You couldn't help but laugh.

"I-"

"It's not just for us seven! Some of our classmates are going, so go!" Dash stared at you for a few seconds but upon your silence, she whined and dramatically fell onto you.

"Please... I just want my girlfriend with me..."

"I'll go." Had she brought up your classmates going, you would've agreed sooner. You just didn't want to be the sore thumb.

"Pack then!" You gasped as Dash grabbed your wrist and quickly pulled you up from your bed. You braced for the sound of loud crashes as she threw your suitcase (luckily, it was very durable) on the ground and slammed open the doors to your closet.

You listened to the sound of your hangers clanging against each other as Dash continued yelling, "You have five days!"

"I could pack in one." You caught anything she threw and nicely folded it, but only after checking to make sure you would actually wear it.

"I've never been on a yacht, though. I don't know what to expect." You earned yourself Dash spouting out everything she knew.

Softly sighing as you caught another shirt, you alas chuckled: you'll always adore her voice and you don't mind how much she talks, unlike other people at times.

DAY 1
EMBARKATION DAY

she's so silent —You looked up at Dash to see where her attention was so focused, but it was something far off in the distance.

"What are you thinking about?" She looked down.

"You feel anything... weird in the atmosphere?"

You hummed. "No, not particularly-"

"Don't you think it's weird nothing bad has happened yet?" she accidentally interrupted.

"...No." Albeit, Dash and her friends have had a lot of mini battles since September. "Something bad doesn't always happen - unless you think something's wrong?"

"Mmm..." She squint as she looked around. "...No... not right now."

"But keep your eyes peeled!" Your eyebrows raised as Dash manually widened your eyes with her fingers.

You smiled, grabbing her wrists and freeing your eyelids. "Relax, Dash. This is a vacation."

"That's what evil magic wants me to be! Relaxed and off-guard!"

"Well... so do I." Now that you knew her motives, it made sense why you two have yet to leave the deck since boarding. She was keeping a lookout.

"I'm gonna go look at our room."

Dash gasped. "Me too! I'm not leaving you alone!"

"When is our luggage being brought to us?"

"Should be later tonight." You nod in acknowledgment.

Because you funded a large majority of your two's trip to Japan, Dash insisted that she handled reserving and paying for a master bedroom that you showed (very minor) interest in (you simply commented on how roomy the options looked. They weren't too over-the-top but still appropriately spacious for the price), but you were completely fine with a smaller guest room.

it is really nice, though —Everyone else, sans Rarity, was in a guest room. Although the earnings from the group's music could have potentially covered for everyone, all six of Dash's friends paid for their rooms out of pocket.

Not to mention, the seven girls would be singing on the deck on Friday, the second to last day of this week-long vacation, and the deal they worked with the company also could've paid for everyone's rooms.

The Rainbooms were really starting to do numbers, so much so that Applejack and Sunset Shimmer, who had no interest in seeking a higher level of education, decided to make managing the group a full-time job, thus neglecting to apply for any colleges at the beginning of the year.

And luckily, the rest of the girls managed to find schools or programs of their interest that were in the same general region; an 18-hour drive was the farthest anyone had gone from their closest friend. This was all to ensure that recording sessions wouldn't be too much of a hassle or burden, but also out of love. Some were brought to tears at the thought of being countries apart - particularly Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy.

As far as your career, you were like Applejack and Sunset and didn't apply for any colleges, which the school found ironic that the two top IB students in the Class of 2018 did the program for virtually nothing. While the exams aren't until late May, both of your intelligences are widely acknowledged.

You would continue working at Champ Zone and simply go wherever Dash went, and while you were offered a position to co-manage the Rainbooms, you declined. You wanted a simple life and felt you had no place in three years' worth of effort that you have never participated in and barely towards.

"You picked a good room," you compliment, turning around to look at Dash. This is the first time you've seen it as she wanted it to be somewhat of a surprise.

"Perfect for watching out for sea monsters, eh?" Your expression flattened.

"You've been thinking about this since five days ago?"

"Yes! Something bad literally always happens!"

"Not always," you smiled, taking her hands. "I don't wanna hear anything about magic. Don't manifest it."

"But!-" You pinched her lips shut.

"何もない." Her eyes softened. "I don't care about tomorrow, and if you find evidence today, I will... listen to you and apologize for doubting you, but otherwise, we're going to fully enjoy the first day of a yacht."
- Nanimo nai → Nothing

"わかったか?" You unpinched her lips.
- Wakatta ka? → Understand?

"...Wakarimashita." You smiled, petting the top of Dash's head.
