#14 - Lost

Seokjin POV

He has always been cautious but the moment Yoongi mentioned about Jungkook, he could no longer control his emotions. Truthfully he was embarrassed for his sudden outburst but he appreciates Yoongi gave him space and didn't question him further. 

Seokjin: "Sorry, Yoongi-ah."

Yoongi: "What for?"

Seokjin: "You're a good friend, you know right."

Yoongi: "I'm always here hyung. We all are."

Seokjin: "Thank you. Its a much needed outlet."

Yoongi: "Whenever you are ready ok."

Seokjin (deep breathe): "He is my everything, Yoongi-ah. You all are."

Yoongi: "I know what you meant hyung. Its not wrong to feel this way."

Seokjin: "I know he likes Mia. I've never make any advance in any way. I know my boundaries."

Yoongi: "Hyung. I know. You've always been good with drawing a line hyung."

Seokjin: "Maybe I cling too much, and its suffocating for him? Gosh, why I'm tearing up again. Ugh."

Yoongi: "You know hyung, there's a reason why people kept thinking that you're together. You're not one to blame."

Seokjin: "What do you mean?"

Yoongi: "Hyung, you're not someone who is persistent. You know when to back out if the person is not interested in you. You continue to spend time with Jungkook is because he has been responding positively towards you. If he doesn't like you, he would've ignore you."

Seokjin: "I guess he was being too nice. He is the maknae. If he didn't listen, then people would think he is rude."

Yoongi: "Sure hyung. Let me ask you this. Does he spend as much time with me as compared to you?"

Seokjin: "I don't know."

Yoongi: "You know what hyung. I think its best if you continue to avoid Jungkook."

Seokjin: "You're right."

Yoongi was so tempted to just tell Seokjin of his perception of their relationship. But, again this is a matter of feeling and he wants both his hyung and maknae to reflect and realize on their own. It would be more meaningful if they reached their own epiphany. He will continue to silently pledge to steer them in a certain direction, but its for them to take the front wheel and decide their route. If they are meant to be, they will be. 

Deep down, Yoongi is just a hopeless romantic.

Seokjin POV

He felt a huge relief after the talk with Yoongi. It is as though the lump that was stinging him for the past few days was removed from his body. He felt light. 

He decided to take on Yoongi's advice to give himself and Jungkook space. Just nice, they have a break from schedule for a week. He will use this time to redirect his focus on his work and maybe start cycling again? Yes, there's more to life than this. 

But first, he needs to return Ian's jacket and maybe treat him a proper meal to repay his kindness. So he finally texted Ian, if he is up for lunch tomorrow. A few minutes later, Ian gave him an address for him to come over. 

Yoongi: "What's with the frown again hyung?"

Seokjin: "I took your advice and asked Ian if he is free for lunch tomorrow. And he gave me an address. Don't you think, this is a residential address?" 

Yoongi: "Wow. He sure is fast hyung. Good luck!"

Seokjin: ???
