Chap. 26

Someone had tried to poison Dan. They contaminated his food. But why?

That wasn't important right now though. My priority was Dan, as his bodyguard but also as his best friend and the one who loved him to the end of the universe and back (I'm not exaggerating, I really do love him that much).

Dan was sick. And I had no idea what to do. Sure, I knew he was sick with food poisoning, but.... I didn't know what I could do to make him feel better. I hated seeing Dan so weak and in pain.

He moaned, flopping an arm over his eyes. "Too bright...." He mumbled. Beads of sweat tricked down his face; his red locks floppy against his forehead. His cheeks were flushed bright red.

To say I was worried, was an understatement. A big one, at that.

I closed the curtains on the window, so the moonlight wasn't shining in.

I let my eyes adjust to the darkness.

I had already went and cleaned up Dan's... um, well, you know... the mess on the floor (despite his small croak of, "You don't have to clean that up for me. I'll do it later.") and had gotten a glass of water for him.

I didn't know what more to do for him.
