I explained to him all the clues and things I had realized.
After my explanation, Dan buried his face in his hands. Then he looked up again.
"Turns out I don't know my own brother." Dan said quietly. "I thought he was devastated too, like me. But it turned out, he knew all along. He killed them."
A sob broke out of him.
I walked over to my boyfriend and hugged him.
Dan started to cry.
I hugged him tightly as he let it all out.
Finally, he stood up.
"Stay here, Kari. I'll be back." He said.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"To confront my brother."
