𝟯𝟰 ~ 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂

tbh idk what's wrong w me, i'm just not working at all.

it's been a few days ever since the return of the parents.

both neytiri and ronal had been resting peacefully with occasional walks by the beach for fresh air and stretches here and there.

on the other hand, neteyam and ao'nung had been comforting each other as the eldest in their family's.
through the darkest of nights and brightest of mornings, they've been keeping an eye out for one another; especially when the group is together.

as of currently though, ao'nung was called on by tonowari, leaving neteyam by himself while the others decided to do their own things for today.

and so, neteyam reckons it's a good day to feel the breeze; making his way by the docks and purely laying on his stomach as gaze darts further into the sea bay.

with his chin resting on folded arms, neteyam's eyes avert itself downwards and onto the waters where his reflection could be seen.

he couldn't help but let his mind wander about his mother, terribly terrified of neytiri's conditions and if she'll get better quickly.

either way, neteyam's prayers have been sent to eywa.

"hmm.."
neteyam proceeds to dip his fingers into the thin surface of the water, essentially making his mind occupied for the time being.

with thoughts and quiet hums escaping from the omaticaya boy, he hadn't noticed how much time had flown by until bubbles start to form right in front of him.

as soon as a familiar face pops up from underneath the waters, neteyam's eyes widen at the surprise presence.

before he could even sneak in a word of greeting, ao'nung holds onto and pushes the boy's forearm aside prior to the heir planting a quick kiss on his boyfriend's plumped lips.

surely this had surprised neteyam as his neck momentarily snaps itself sideways to double check their surroundings.

"no one can see us here teyam"
ao'nung chuckles whilst his gaze follows wherever neteyam's head turned before the heir let's go of his forearm, proceeding to push himself upon the platform.

"you doing okay?" he starts to rub neteyam's back with intentions of comforting until the boy's back rises and falls from a deep breath.

"i don't know. i just miss my ma's smile, that's all i suppose."

ao'nung couldn't help but frown at his boyfriend's worries, wanting to attack all those horrendous thoughts out of neteyam's mind just to see his smile.

"things'll get better, i promise."
neteyam just hums in response, not having the energy to even vocalise such words.

the omaticaya boy then props himself up into a sitting position beside the heir, leaning his head onto ao'nung's shoulder.

even at such innocent interaction, ao'nung could still feel the thumping in his chest and through his ears with a sense of needing more.
but, he didn't want to rush the boy.

suddenly, a great idea pops into the heir's mind, instantly lighting up his complexion before looking down at the frowning neteyam.

"why don't we have ourselves a little date?"
a giddy smile presents itself, unable to hide from ao'nung's lips any longer before neteyam raises his head and gazing at his initiating lover.

"what's on your mind?"
at the thought of being alone with ao'nung for the day immediately lands a smile onto neteyam's expression.

"i'll show you, c'mon"
ao'nung takes his lover's hand gently as he himself stands up and helps neteyam up from his seat before he starts to call on his ilu.
