SaneGiyuu: Wind and Water don't get along

PART 13: DON'T YOU DARE

"Teamwork?" Giyuu asks Sanemi.
"Yes." Sanemi replies.

Akaza regenerates the cut on his neck.
He punches Giyuu, who pinned him with his sword. Giyuu bleeds.
Sanemi looks at the attack and stabs Akaza with his sword on the stomach.

"You fucking bitch! How dare you hit him!?"

"Hahaha! So you get angry when your partner gets hurt? That's great."
Akaza looks at Giyuu, who was still getting up.

"LOOK OUT! BLACK HAIRED BOY!!!
HERE I COME!!!"
Akaza shouts.

Akaza runs towards Giyuu, with the intention of piercing his hand through Giyuu's body with a punch.

Giyuu cuts off Akaza's hand, the one Akaza was going to punch Giyuu with.

"OI!! LEAVE HIM ALONE! YOU FIND ME ANNOYING, RIGHT? THEN COME AT ME YOU BITCH!!!"

Akaza turns back totally annoyed by Sanemi.

"I really need to shut you up..." Akaza runs towards Sanemi with great force.

Sanemi dodges and blocks all his attacks.

Giyuu couldn't handle looking at Sanemi doing everything by himself so he stood still, letting out a deep breath.

"Water Breathing: Eleventh Form, Dead Calm"

Everything turns silent, as if movement had stopped.

Only silence, serenity and calmness could be heard. Giyuu swiftly moved fast, so fast that it couldn't be seen with plain eyes. He cut through Akaza's neck. His head fell down.

Sanemi couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"We did it....We, we...."
Giyuu was stuttering, thinking what he had just done.

"I do not believe this... Uppermoon 3.....he was-he was very weak...."

Sanemi's eyes were still open, wide while staring at the headless body of the demon.

They could hear a faint laugh getting louder.

Akaza's body had started moving, he walked and held his own head, slowly putting it in its place.

Akaza regenerated his head.

Giyuu couldn't process what happened.

"Uppermoon 3 was weak? No! I don't think so! Hahaha! My body power is so immensely strong, I can regenerate my head using it....JOKES ON YOU!!!"

"Now you guys annoyed me for long!
It's my turn, TO SHOW YOU MY REAL POWER!!!"

Akaza ran towards Sanemi punching him on the stomach, very hard.

"ARGH!!" Sanemi grunts, vomiting out blood.

Giyuu stared, haunted.

Suddenly Giyuu felt a Shiver go down his spine. He had flashbacks of the past.

"Y-You did a great job."
"F-Fine I-I'll be your friend!"
"Oi, Tomioka! Don't you ever smile?"
"I bet that day will never come!"
"Lets stay like this for a while!"

Giyuu remembered how happy Sanemi looked when he was laughing while admiring the sunset.

"That's enough." Giyuu says in a deadly quiet way.

"What's that?" Akaza looks back.

"I've had enough..." Giyuu was very quiet.

"Oi, ......Tomioka (coughs blood) S-Stay back! You're hurt...He, he is way too strong.."

Giyuu doesn't' listen to Sanemi.
He looks up, with hatred filled in his eyes.

"How dare you, hurt my friend?"
Giyuu said silently.

"DON'T YOU DARE!!!!!!!"

"You don't even deserve hell, you deserve much worse... YOU DEMON!!!!"
Giyuu takes a deep breath, in and out.

"WATER BREATHING: 10TH FORM, CONSTANT FLUX!" Giyuu runs towards Akaza with immense force,
Akaza couldn't block his attacks, Giyuu was too fast.
The sun had almost come out.

"No! I have to leave...."Akaza starts panicking.

"I won't let you..." Giyuu blocks Akaza's way of getting back.

Akaza jumps up and leaves in a flash.

The sun came up, shining brightly in the sky.
Birds started chirping.
Giyuu fell down on his knees, staring at his hands. A soft breeze blew, moving Giyuu's dark hair.

"We failed killing the Uppermoon..."
Giyuu couldn't say anything further than that. A tear rolled down his cheek.

"A-ah!" Sanemi tried to move but failed.

Giyuu looked back at Sanemi. He sniffed, wiped his tears and ran towards Sanemi and sat near him, slowly putting his head on his lap.

"T-Tomioka.... I- I'm sorry..."
Sanemi couldn't speak, his throat hurt.

Giyuu stared at Sanemi's face. Tears ran down his cheeks.

"I'm sorry for being useless...Tomioka"

"Shinazugawa-San.... Don't say that! You were never useless. I was the one who didn't do anything. Don't worry, you will be okay. I will carry you to the house."
Giyuu assured Sanemi.

"(Coughs) Tha-Thank you Tomioka...."
Giyuu picked Sanemi up on his back, carrying Sanemi a long way back.
