PART 16: I WISH YOU LIKED ME TOO

"Have you ever fallen in love?"
Giyuu asks Sanemi.

Silence occupies the room for a few seconds.

"Yes, I have."
Sanemi replies.

Shinazugawa-San has fallen in love? I wonder who it is..
Giyuu thought.

"Who?" Giyuu asks Sanemi.

"Kocho's elder sister, Kanae... She was the former flower Hashira. She was killed by an Uppermoon Demon, you know that." Sanemi answers.

"Oh...yeah, I know."

Shinazugawa-San likes girls...
Giyuu thought.

"What did you like about her?"
Giyuu asks Sanemi.

"Her personality, she was very sweet.
Her voice was very calm too, she was an amazing singer."
Sanemi slowly closed his eyes as if he was relaxing.

"Tomioka?"
Sanemi asks in a relaxed tone.

"Hmm?"

"Can you sing?" Sanemi asks Giyuu.

"I don't think so..."
Giyuu thought about his singing skills.

"Just give it a shot! I want to listen..."
Sanemi says in an excited way with his eyes still closed.

"Okay..." Giyuu looked unsure.

I will try my best! Shinazugawa-San will like me too.

"I don't remember any songs...."
Giyuu looks at Sanemi.

"Oh come on!" Sanemi looked disappointed.

"Okay..." Giyuu takes a deep breath.

He starts to hum.
Sanemi's eyes open, his turns his head to look at Giyuu.

Giyuu's voice was actually very beautiful.
Giyuu starts singing with his eyes closed, as if he was focusing on it.

I hope Shinazugawa-San likes this...

Giyuu starts getting even more serious and intense.
He starts sweating for he tries very hard.

Sanemi looks at Giyuu, with a red blush all over his face.

Even if Sanemi wasn't sure before, he was completely aware now that he fell head over heels for Tomioka.

He wanted Giyuu to be his.

He could picture Kanae on Giyuu.

I wish you'd become mine, Tomioka...
You make me go crazy!
Sanemi thought.

Giyuu stops singing.

He looks at Sanemi who looked super pleased by his voice.

"You sing beautifully, Tomioka!"
Sanemi smiles at Giyuu.

T-There's no way this is real....This is definitely a dream, right? It's actually the second time Shinazugawa-San complemented me!? The last time being on the train... He's even smiling at me...
I shouldn't stay quiet like this... I-I need to say something back.

"T-Thank you Shinazugawa-San!"
Giyuu couldn't help but blush hard. His heart started beating very fast.
So fast that it hurt.
Knowing that Sanemi would see him in this condition, he immediately turns around, clutching his heart with his hand.
His chest hurt bad due to the uncontrollable heart beating and pain, he couldn't handle it for long.

"Ah, my heart! Ow..."

"Tomioka! Are you okay?"
Sanemi put his hand on Giyuu's shoulder, turning him around.

Giyuu's heart started beating even faster.

"Aah! I'm fine..."

"NO YOU'RE NOT! STOP LYING, IDIOT!"

Giyuu was red, really red. His face was heated up, as if he was thrown into fire. He clutched his heart, that looked like it was about to come out.
Giyuu was breathing heavily, in and out. He was panting. (Drip!) A drop of blood drips down Giyuu's nose. He couldn't bear it.

"Your heart is beating fast, isn't it?"

Sanemi removed Giyuu's hand. He slowly rested his head on Giyuu's chest. He could listen to his heart beat. It was so fast that even Sanemi was scared.

Sanemi put his hand on Giyuu's forehead, patting it slowly.

"There, there. It's okay, Tomioka." He comforted Giyuu.

Giyuu calms down with his heart beating normally.

"What happens to you, idiot?"

"I don't know... Thank you!" Giyuu says looking at Sanemi.

"Hmm." Sanemi replies.

I wonder what happens to Tomioka....
Sanemi thought.

I wish you liked me too,
Shinazugawa-San.
Giyuu was drifted away by his thoughts.

With the continuous head pat by Sanemi, Giyuu fell asleep.

Sanemi looks at him.
Damn! I wish you liked me too, Tomioka.

Sanemi wanted to kiss Giyuu on the forehead but he knew Giyuu could wake up making things embarrassing.
Therefore, he silently fell asleep beside him.
