"S'alright, Simon. Yer bein' as gentle as ya can with me." Soap assured him, "No one I'd rather have doin' this fer me."
"Really? M'not much of a nurse, sergeant."

"Coulda fooled me- agh!" Another large hunk of shrapnel was yanked from his shoulder.

"Easy now. You're doing a good job, lovely."

Soap huffed, "Thanks."

They fell into silence as Ghost kept up his incessant picking..

"I like that." Soap said after a moment.

"Hm?"

"Love. Lovely. Makes me think you're soft for me, Simon." Soap gave a bashful chuckle and Ghost's hands paused. Soap could feel his gaze on him and instantly regretted opening his big mouth, "Sorry Simon. Forget it. I didnae wanna make ya uncomf-."

Ghost's hand was suddenly on his chin and turning his face toward him. In their moment separated he had removed his mask. Soap's eyes frantically scanned over his features up close.

"Johnny."

"Yes sir?"

"Shut up."

"Yes sir."

Soap's eyes flicked down to his lips. Interested in getting a peek at those teeth. Interested in feeling those teeth for that matter. He looked back up to find Simon's eyes on him, amused. When had he gotten so close?

"See something you want, love?" Ghost teased.

Soap swallowed, face probably growing redder by the second.

"Because I seem to remember a desperate little thing saying that he wanted me. But perhaps that's changed." Ghost began to lean back.

"W-wait." Soap hand had shot out and grabbed the front of his shirt before he could stop it.

Ghost leaned forward again, reclaiming the distance, "Yes, Johnny?"

"Y-you..." Soap started before squeezing his eyes shut and shaking his head, "You don't need to do this, Si. If yer humoring me because I let you feed off me, please know that you don't have to. You don't owe me anything."

Ghost reached up and cupped his cheek making him draw in a breath, "I'm afraid I'm still being selfish, sergeant. I've found that I want more than your blood."

Ghost ran his thumb across his bottom lip and Soap fought against the desire to have it in his mouth. Before they could go any farther there was a knock on the door. Ghost slowly pulled away from a still flushed Soap.

"Come in." He called, eyes still locked on Soap's as he picked his scalpel and tweezers back up.

The door opened a crack and Rudy and Alejandro stepped in. Their eyes quickly scanned over Soap's back and the little bucket filled with chunks of bloody metal.

"Oh, perrito." Rudy murmured, stepping closer, "Why didn't you say anything about this before?"

"Wanted to get you back to yer colonel first. It wasn't pressing." Soap grimaced as Ghost began to start rubbing disinfectant on his wounds, flinching lightly against the sting.

"Nos has hecho un gran servicio, pequeño lobo." Alejandro told him.

"Don't mention it. The least I could do for members of my pack."

Alejandro and Rudy both warmed at the knowledge that the werewolf considered them close enough to be welcomed into the fold.

"I'm glad we were able to take care of Graves, but I wish we could have done it differently. I wanted to find out how he knew about all of us." Soap continued.

"Actually that's something I wanted to talk to you two about." Alejandro said darkly.

Ghost popped his head up to look at him.

"I think I know who he got his information from."
