The team broke down the whole situation with Price when he and Gaz returned from their time outside. Soap was still asleep and Rudy was still in the tub. But that was honestly preferred by everyone based on the subjects that they were going to be discussing.

They started with their successes. They had successfully managed to help kickstart Soap's memories and uncovered the basement of the lab. They also shared with Price the connection they had made about Makarov collecting his assets young, and in Gaz and possibly Soap's case, with their parents.

Price nodded along and stroked his mustache as he stared at the floor.

"Any thoughts on our next move, Captain?" Ghost asked when they had finished explaining.

"Well," He started, "we have more information on Soap than we did before. We've confirmed that he came from one of Makarov's labs, but not that one specifically. And we know that the orphanage he was dropped at was in Glasgow. I doubt the lab he came from was far from there."

"Aye." Alejandro agreed, "If those soldiers just dropped him off and cleaned their hands of the whole affair, they probably just found the nearest home for monsters that they could."

"So, Scotland?" Gaz asked.

Price nodded, "If I had to guess. This is the most we've ever had to go on with MacTavish. I bet Laswell could dig up some actual files now that we know to look for."

It was true. Looking for information on one of Vladimir Makarov's monster testing labs in Scotland was bound to be far easier than when they had just been searching for information on an obscure werewolf pup.

"Why do you think he keeps taking children and families?" Alejandro mused, "Or is he just that sick in the head?"

"Maybe it's easier that way?" Gaz offered, "My mother was pregnant when she was caught. I was born in that lab. I'm sure a pregnant dryad is easier to track and catch than any other."

"I doubt it's that they're easier to catch." Ghost muttered, "I mean, catching a werewolf and its pups, no easy feat I'm sure. Wolves are very protective of their young."

They stood in silence for a moment, all trying to work out the puzzle.

"Whatever the reason," Price spoke up after a few moments, "we're going to find out. Because once we have Makarov, we're going to get plenty of information out of him."

It was a sinister promise that they were all eager to get in on.

When their meeting had concluded and they began to disperse, Alejandro caught Price by the arm to ask him about the monsters in the basement. He promised that they would handle it as soon as they could. With that the Captain departed to go discuss their findings with Laswell.

Soap's head still fucking hurt in the morning. It wasn't as bad as the previous day, but waking up with a headache was entirely unpleasant. He had felt better when Ghost was feeding on him, and he obviously hadn't noticed it while he was sleeping.

He wriggled out of Ghost's arms and attempted to get up. Ghost woke and practically shoved Soap back down when he told him he was going to get more medicine for the headache.

Ghost would do that for him, dammit!

On the way back to their room with the pills, he ran into Gaz.

"Oh! I was just on my way to your room, Lieutenant."

"What can I help you with, Garrick?"

"Price's having me let everyone know that we're shipping out later today. Heading to Scotland. Apparently he and Laswell were able to get some possible hits on that lab."

Ghost's eyebrows raised in surprise, "That was quick."

"Yeah, well, he was up all night on a call with her." Gaz nodded, "He's very eager to bag this guy and help Soap out."

"Alright. I'll let Johnny know."

"Thank you, sir." Gaz gave him a smile and hurried down the hall to let Rudy and Alejandro know.

Ghost re-entered their room and let out an amused puff of air at the sight of Soap, face down on the pillow, arms at his side. He walked over and nudged him.

He lifted his head and smiled at his offering of pills and water.

"Ah. Thank ye, Nurse Simon. Always takin' care of me." He teased.

"Maybe that headache should try a little harder, you've still got all that lip, Puppy." Ghost told him.

"Och, you love it and you know it." Soap waved him off and accepted the offering.

"We're rolling out again later today." Ghost told him as he downed the pills.

"Aye? Where to?"

"Scotland."

Soap nearly choked on the water, "What are we goin' there for?"

"Laswell and Price think they might have a location for the lab you came from." Ghost explained, scanning Soap's less than pleased face, "I honestly thought you'd be more excited."

Soap looked away and shrugged, "I mean I miss parts of it, sure. But the orphanage wasn't the nicest place in all honesty."

"What do you mean?"

Soap fixed him with a look, "Be realistic, Si. People don't like monsters. Monsters homes aren't regulated like the human ones are. The only rule is that they keep us alive. Surely Price told you that I tried to enlist before I was eighteen. That wasn't just for fun, mo spiorad."

Ghost furrowed his brow. He was really just collecting people's asses to kick on Soap's behalf. He hadn't expected to want to beat up orphanage workers, but life was full of surprises.

He pulled off his mask and leaned down to give Soap a little peck on the cheek.

"Well, you didn't have me with you before. Maybe we can find some time for you to show me the good parts."

Soap blushed, "Are all vampires this soft, or is it just you?"

"The vampires that have excitable werewolves that they're responsible for are." Ghost told him as he pulled away to start packing up his gear.

"So just you then?"

"Probably."
