(Bella remains totally still as she helplessly watches the heavy downpour for several minutes while beneath a roof. Eventually, The rain stops)
Bella: (sighs) Finally!
(Just then, Mrs Carter passes by in her car and stops when she sees Bella)
Mrs Carter: BELLAAAAA!
Bella: (relieved) Mom!!!!!
(Bella quickly hurries into the car & heaves a loud sigh of relief)
Bella: (she hugs her Mom) Thank God you came!
Mrs Carter: Oh honey, I was so so scared! I thought something had happened. Are you okay?
Bella: (panting) I think so
Mrs Carter: Why weren't you answering your calls?
Bella: I'm sorry, I couldn't. I was really in a state of panic
Mrs Carter: It's alright, You're safe now okay? Let's get you home
Bella: (nods) Okay...
(Mrs Carter drives off, back to the house)
(Back at the Carter's Residence)
(Bella and Mrs Carter walk into the house)
Bella: Thanks for coming to get me, Mom, I really don't know what I'd do without you
Mrs Carter: Today was a close shave, A narrow escape.
Bella: I'm aware. I got lucky.
Mrs Carter: Listen to me, Wherever you go from now on, Always have a protective gear or equipment with you. We can't afford to risk this happening ever again
Bella: I get you, Mom (frowns) I wish I didn't have to live like this
(Mrs Carter stares at her daughter for a while before she's eventually able to speak)
Mrs Carter: So do I... (a tear drops down her cheek)
Bella: Are you okay, Mom?
Mrs Carter: Yes, yes, I'm fine (she wipes away her tear) Umm, You should go get your things ready, You know you're resuming school tomorrow for a new semester
Bella: Yes Mom
(Mrs Carter watches Bella with teary eyes as she heads upstairs)
Mrs Carter: My poor child...
(Next Morning)
(At The Carter's Residence)
Mrs Carter: (shouts) Bella hurry up! You're gonna be late for your first day of school!
Bella: (from her room) COMING!
Mrs Carter: (quietly) Uhh, She always delays and it's almost eight o'clock. I just hope she's not gonna be late this time around.
(The doorbell rings)
Mrs Carter: Ooooh, I know who that is!
(Mrs Carter goes to open the door and a very young beautiful 5'4 girl of South Korean descent dressed in a neat well-ironed school uniform, walks into the house)
Mrs Carter: Anna Kim Tae-Hyung!
Anna: (smiling) Good morning Mrs Carter.
Mrs Carter: Morning my dear, How are your parents?
Anna: They're both fine. I'm here for Bella
Mrs Carter: Oh okay, She'll be down in a minute... She's still getting ready for school, Although, She hasn't had her breakfast yet, Do you mind waiting for her?
