"Everyone needs to be out and in the air in ten!" I called throughout the hangar. "Pilots get ready."

Men and women in orange and white uniforms hustled into position. Some still readying their ship and gathering needed materials. Others were getting into their pilots seats. My responsibility was making sure each X-wing and pilot was capable of flight and fight. We launched an attack on the empire tonight.

"Officer Y/L/N?" Someone called. I turned my head to see one of the new cadets approaching me. I wondered if he was having second thoughts about flying this mission. I wouldn't blame him. This mission had been optional for him anyways, him being so new.

"Harcol," I greeted. He was dressed in his uniform, ready for battle. "Is everything okay?"

Desmbri Harcol was some rare humanoid species I couldn't quite remember the name of. He was very tall, standing a foot above me, and his skin had lavender undertones. His eyes were a deep shade of red and almost animal like in a way that unsettled me.

He switched his rebellion issued helmet from hand to hand. "Will you be here when I get back?" He had a confident smile on his face as he asked the question, but I could tell by his posture that the confidence was fake.

"Unless something happens to the base, or I die," I replied, unsure of where he was going with this. He licked his purple lips. His tongue was red, like his eyes. Speaking of his eyes, they were no longer on mine but rather focused on something a bit lower on my body.

"Harcol we leave in seven minutes," I reminded him. "You should get back to your ship." He grabbed my arm as I turned to walk away from him. I yanked it away, but he held on tightly. Squeezed it harder as I tugged again. For a skinny guy he was surprisingly strong. My arm would be bruised in the morning.

I opened my mouth to tell him off and was cut off my his lavender lips being pressed against mine. His mouth tasted foul, and my only thought for a moment was the fact that it seemed like he never brushed his pointy teeth. I struggled against his grip. He was strong.

Then suddenly he was yanked away from me. Cassian shoved him away, then shoved him again. Harcol lost his balance after the second shove and went toppling backwards.

"Get lost," Cassian demanded.

Harcol held up his hands in defense. "Hey man, I was just talking to her, man."

"Shut the fuck up," I snapped. I swung my leg and kicked him in the knee. I probably shouldn't have lost my temper with a cadet. We needed all the able bodied people we could get. Harcol finally listened and scrambled away. I rubbed my sore arm.

Cassian's hand rested on my lower back. "Are you alright?"

"I was handling it myself," I replied, perhaps a little too rudely.

He pressed a kiss to my temple. "I know, sweetheart."

I couldn't help but smile. "Thank you."

"I'll make sure he gets stationed in some other unit," I added as we walked away together.

I was told I needed more Cassian content in this book so here ya go. I have yet to watch Andor still I'm sorry I will get around eventually.

If you have watched Andor, how did you like it? Some people are saying it's the best Star Wars show yet.

Should I publish content on ao3? It would be the same content I post here. The only purpose would be to reach a wider audience (possibly).

You've reached the end of published parts.
