"So you've been locked in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s basement this whole time?" Tony asked.
"Apparently" Daphne shrugged.
"You know this whole time I thought you were a myth. Like Walt Disney's head," he said.
Daphne just looked up at him, having no idea what he was talking about.
"The gamma readings are definitely consistent with Selvig's reports of the tesseract. But it's gonna take weeks to process" Banner said, scanning the scepter.
"If we bypass their mainframe and direct route to the Homer duster we can clock this at around 600 teraflops."
"All I packed was a toothbrush" Banner laughed, not expecting to be here this long or for the mission to start involving aliens with alien tech more powerful than he'd ever seen.
"Is it true that there are secret code words that trigger the whole secret Winter Assassin mode?" Tony asked as Daphne nodded.
"What about the electric trip? That still there?" he asked.
"Your dad was supposed to figure out how to get rid of it. All of it" she told him.
"You know, you should come by Stark Tower sometime. We'll run some tests" he told her.
"I really shouldn't be around too many people. I don't know if it'll happen again" she said.
"Well, I promise a stress-free environment. No tension, no surprises" Tony said, before zapping her in the side with an electric rod.
Daphne tensed up, instinctively reaching for her gun before calming herself down.
"Hey!" Steve shouted, rushing over.
"Nothing?" Tony asked, still looking at Daphne.
"Are you nuts?" Steve asked.
"Jury's out" Tony shrugged.
"Is everything a joke to you?" Steve asked.
"Funny things are," Tony said.
"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny," Steve said, glancing at Daphne. "You know what I mean."
"It's fine," she mumbled.
"Stark, you need to be focusing on the problem," Steve said.
"Have you always been the cooler twin?" Tony asked, looking at Daphne.
"We're not twins" she reminded him.
"Alright look. Think about it. Why did Fury call us in? Why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables" Tony said.
"You think Fury's hiding something?" Steve asked.
"He's a spy. Captain, he's the spy. His secrets have secrets" Tony said. "I know it's bugging the doctor too. Isn't it?"
