All you could think about was that date with Oak. The two of you exchanged numbers and decided on meeting on Friday at the movie theater at about six o'clock.
It was about four on the day of the date, when your roomate was helping you get ready.
"Y/N, you seem pretty happy for this date, who's the lucky guy?" your roomate asks teasingly.
"Well..he's one of the actors in the show i'm choreographing." you say while cracking a smile.
"You're lying." you roomate says as her jaw drops.
"No..why would I?"
"Because the actors in Hamilton are all so handsome! You got lucky Y/N." she says while hugging you.
"I sure did." you say while spritzing perfume on your body.
...
You took an Uber to the theater, since it was pretty far from your apartment. You got there a little late so when you entered the theater, you were met by Oak fidgeting with his hands awkwardly.
"Hi Oak!" you say while walking up to him.
"Hi Y/N!" Oak says while hugging you.
You smiled as you felt comfort in his large and warm arms.
"What movie were you thinking about watching?" he says while releasing from the hug.
"I was thinking we could watch a horror movie..oh maybe scream six? It came out recently, and everyone's been talking about it." you say while smiling excitedly.
"O-oh..okay.." Oak says hesitantly.
"Unless you don't wanna watch it, we can find something else-"
"No it's okay!" Oak says while smiling weakly.
"Are you sure?" you ask worriedly.
"Yes I'm sure. Now did you wanna get snacks?" he asks, quickly changing the subject.
"Oh yeah! Let's go!" you say while linking your arm with his and pulling him quickly to the concession stands.
"Hello, may I take your order?" a chipper guy says while smiling. He must love his job.
"Hey Oak, do you want to share a popcorn?" you ask quickly.
Oak nods in response, and you turn back to the overly happy worker. "Yes could I get a large popcorn, a cherry slushie, and.."
"Gummy bears too!" Oak whispers.
"And gummy bears?" you say while smiling.
"Alright..your total will be $16.54, please wait patiently for your food over here!" the guy says while motioning to another line.
"Hey Y/N, I'm gonna go get our tickets, you don't mind waiting here, right?" Oak asks.
"No, go ahead." you say while smiling.

After the two of you got everything, you headed to the theater excitedly. You ended up sitting not too far, but not too close to the front of the theater.
The two of you turn off your phones and watch the commercial while digging in on the popcorn.
You shivered in excitement in your seat, as the movie began. You were a huge fan of the Scream movie series, and was excited to see the newest movie.
Though Oak didn't seem as excited.
You felt Oak flinch at some of the jump scares, but you didn't think much of it at first.
But about halfway into the movie, there was a huge jump scare that even scared you a little.
You laughed when you heard most of the theater scream, but grew concerned when Oak tightly grabbed your hand out of.. fear?
You turn to Oak with a worried look on your face. You shouldn't have took him to see a horror movie.
"Are..you okay?" you ask worriedly.
"The movie..just scared me a little.." Oak says while stammering.
"Oh I'm sorry Oak, I didn't know." you say while pouting at him.
"It's alright.." he says while looking back up at the movie.
You wrap your arms around Oak's and lay your head against his shoulder while watching the rest of the movie. You felt bad for taking him to see this movie. If you knew he was scared of horror movies, you wouldn't have.
After the movie, the two of you head outside the theater.
"Oak I'm so sorry for taking you to see that movie I didn't-"
But before you could finish that sentence, he proceeded to place a sweet kiss on your cheek.
"I accept your apology." he says while smiling.
"S-should we get something to eat?" you say sheepishly while looking down to hide the blush on your face.
"Ah yeah I'm pretty hungry, what do you wanna eat?" he says curiously.
"Well maybe you should choose, since you know-"
"I told you it's okay, Y/N! Also I'm in the mood for McDonalds." Oak says while intertwining his fingers with yours.
...
Oak had brought his car, so he insisted on dropping you off to your apartment after eating. Once the two of you got there, you didn't say it, but you didn't want to leave.
"Thank you for this date, Oak." you say while smiling shyly.
"Thank you, Y/N." he says while pulling you in by the waist, as he towered over you.
"Good night, Oak." you say while smiling softly.
"Good night, Y/N." he says back, refusing to let you go.
"Oak..I have to go eventually.." you say while laughing.
"I don't want you to leave so soon.." Oak says while pouting as his arms drop.
"Well, you'll see me at work, so you'll only have to miss me for a couple of days." you say while smiling.
You then instinctively give him a peck on the lips and speed walk to your apartment door.
You waved to him quickly before you closed the door.

(OAK POV):
You turned the key in the lock of your apartment as you sighed happily.
Since you shared an apartment with Daveed, you had to face as soon as you got home.
As soon as you took off your shoes, you laid face-flat on the couch while giggling like a middle school girl.
"I assume the date went well?" Daveed says while smiling.
"Mhmm..and she took me to see a horror movie." you say with muffled laughs.
"She took you to see a horror movie?" Daveed asks while laughing. "I'm imagining how that went."
"But before she left..she kissed me." you say in a quieter voice, as you lay on your back with a pillow in hand.
"She did?! man she must like you a lot!" Daveed says while sitting on the couch.
Your face flushed at his comment, but you pushed the thoughts out of your head.
