You had been hired as one of the orchestra players for the new musical, Hamilton. It had been a dream come true ever since you joined.

The players were extremely nice and you had gotten extremely close with them, but never really got close with the cast members.

One cast member you had gotten close with, was Okieriete Onaodowan, also known as Oak.

He had told you about another cast member Daveed, but you never really paid attention to him, though he'd been paying close attention to you.

It was getting close to show-day, and you, cast, crew, and tech have been working diligently to make sure everything is absolutely perfect.

Everyone had just finished rehearsal, but you decided to stay a bit longer, to touch up on your piano skills, since sometimes you had to fill in for the pianist in the orchestra, even though you did violin.

You decided to start with the song 'Take A Break', since it was one of your favorite songs to do on the piano.

You quickly sat down on the bench, and pressed your fingers down on the starting keys. Piano hadn't always been something you liked, but in that moment, you loved every single bit of it.

Playing piano has been a significant part of you life since you was six years old. Your parents enrolled me in piano lessons, and you remembered feeling nervous and excited at the same time.

As you sat on the bench, your fingers trembling over the keys, you felt like a small fish in a vast ocean.

But as you started playing, something magical happened.

The notes flowed through my fingers effortlessly, and soon enough, you were lost in the music.

Playing piano became an escape for you; it allowed you to express yourself without words.

As you grew older, playing the piano became more than just a hobby; it became a way for you to express myself.

Whenever you felt overwhelmed or stressed, sitting down at the piano and losing myself in the music brought you peace.

Whenever you felt overwhelmed or stressed out, sitting down at the piano would calm you down.

Today, playing piano is still an essential part of your life.

It has taught you discipline and perseverance while providing an outlet for creativity and self-expression.

And most importantly, it has given you countless moments of pure joy that will stay with me forever.

It has shaped who you are today and will always hold a special place in your heart.

You continued to play the keys gracefully, when you hear something fall, and a man standing there awkwardly.

(DAVEED POV) :

"Bye everyone!" you say to your fellow cast mates while walking out of the dressing room. You trot down the stairs, when you hear a faint noise, that continues to grow louder as you get closer. When you're close enough, you hear a piano being played?

You look around curiously while still walking to see which room it came from.

You finally saw a dim room with only stage lights on, and a woman playing the piano beautifully. Was that..mystery girl ?

Mystery Girl was the most quiet person you'd ever met. She was reserved, and always kept to herself. I remember seeing her in the halls of the theatre, her head down and her eyes fixed on the ground, or a music sheet. I never knew much about her, but there was something intriguing about Mystery Girl that made me want to know more.

I had found out later that her name was Y/N,  L/N from Oak. What a beautiful name.

Soon enough, you realized you'd been standing at the doorway like a creep, when a broom had fell and blew your cover.

(Y/N POV):

"Hello?" you say while squinting in the dark room, with only the light from the stage and outside illuminating the room.

"Uh..Hi. I didn't mean to disrupt you, but I was just leaving rehearsal, and I passed by these amazing sounds and-" the man says while walking up to the stage.

When he gets closer, you see that it is Daveed, the guy Oak always seems to talk about. He was really handsome though.

"It's alright, no worries." You say while chuckling. You sit down on the stage, as you attempt to slide off of it gracefully, which ended up in you tripping on one of the cords from the speakers hanging from the stage.

You had started to fall forward and accepted your fate, when you feel a pair of arms catch you. You look up and see that Daveed is looking down at you with a sympathetic smile.

You quickly look down in embarrassment, but also to cover the flush creeping up on your face.

"Thank you but..I should- I should go." you mutter quietly while walking over to grab your things.

Though Daveed didn't say anything, he watched you intently, while sort of hesitating to do something.

When you're about to walk out of the door, you feel his hand touch your shoulder, which makes you flinch a little, but you turn around anyway.

"That piano-playing you did back there was..beautiful Y/N." Daveed says while smiling again.

He knows your name?

"Anyways, i've seen you around and I wanted to know if you could teach me how to play a little someday." he says while fidgeting with his rings.

"You've..seen me around?" you ask suspiciously.

"Ah, yeah but not in a weird way if that's what you're thinking!" Daveed says defensively.

"Pass me your phone real quick?" you ask while smiling.

"Uh..okay." Daveed says while handing it to you slowly.

You go to his contacts, and add your number in, with your name. "Here." you say while handing it back.

"I can teach you whenever, just text me, kay'?" you say while walking away.

When you leave, Daveed lingers for a little longer, while looking down at his phone.

He then changes the contact name to 'Mystery Girl'.

(I wanted to add that the part where he was fidgeting with his rings is real he said in an interview i think )

(I might just write your oneshot tmrw if that's okay :) theinsaneagedupbish)
