Chapter 27

"So, the battle is draw." I say shortly after Lotus and I call our pokemon back to their pokeballs.

"You're getting better at battling Yui. I'm sure you'll do great at the Anistar gym." Lotus compliments, and I give her a smile in return, suggesting shortly after about making our way to the pokemon center here in Dendemille town, then making our way to Anistar city.

She agreed, and we exited the cave as quickly as we could, since both our fire types had fainted in our battle, and, since the cave was made out of ice, it was as cold as it originally was.

After getting out the cave, our next stop was at the pokemon center, where we healed our pokemon. We decided to stay in the pokemon center for a little bit, since it was warm, before we headed back out into the cold to make our way to Anistar city.

After a little while, we finally head back out of the pokemon center, making our way towards Anistar city.

Once we got to Route 17 however, we were stopped by huge mountains of snow, that would prove difficult to walk in.

Luckily, there were Mamoswine that people could ride to get through the snow, since the Mamoswine could easily push through the snow with their tusks, allowing trainers to get through.

"Can't we use one of our fire types right now to keep ourselves warm? I hate the cold..." Lotus mumbles, and I laugh a little.

"No we can't Lotus, just bear with it. If we call out our fire types and use a fire type move, it might scare the Mamoswine, then we'll have no way to get through this snow to Anistar city." I explained, and Lotus mumbled something under her breath that I couldn't quite hear, causing me to chuckle a little.

Eventually, we managed to get through the snow and arrive at Anistar city.

Once we were clear of snow, we quickly got off the Mamoswine and thanked them for helping us, feeding them a berry as our way of showing thanks.

I couldn't help but admire Anistar city. The city itself gave of a calming vibe, the crystal-clear water that was partially surrounding the city and the calming sounds of the waves splashing only enhanced that calming vibe.

Not only that, but we couldn't help but admire the huge crystal, also known as the sundial, that was situated at a viewpoint in the city. The huge crystal was of a magenta colour, reflecting the sun perfectly, creating a light purple coloured shadow over the viewpoint.

"The next showcase is in a few days Yui, are you going to challenge the gym first or wait until after the showcase?" Lotus asks as we made our way to the pokemon center, so we could eat a little lunch before going anywhere else.

"I think I want to challenge the gym first. I've heard the gym leader Olympia uses two pokemon at the same time, meaning it's a double battle, and I know exactly which two pokemon I'm going to use, and it will definitely help for the showcase." I explained, and Lotus nodded in understanding.

So, after we had a quick lunch, we quickly made our way over to the gym, and went inside as quickly as possible.

We were quickly greeted by Olympia and the referee, who guided me to the battlefield, while Lotus was guided to where people could watch the battle.

The battlefield in itself amazed me. At first glance, it seemed like a normal battlefield, however as soon as Olympia took her position on the other side, the walls quickly changed from being plain and instead were replaced with a beautiful galaxy surrounding the battlefield.

The referee explained the rules, and Olympia asked me if I was ready, to which I immediately said I was.

Just as I had heard, the battle was a double battle, and Olympia sent out her two pokemon, which were a male and female Meowstic.
