770.Why?

Pursing his lips, Seungmin frowned, "I have my reasons."

"I am a doctor, whenever someone is sick or anything medically related happens, I am the first person my family looks for and it is the same with my mom and dad. Why would you refuse to even let your brother treat your wife even though it was an emergency?" Jiyun was very sure that there was something going on between Seungmin and it wasn't right.

"Are you trying to say that as a husband, I dont have the right to look out for my wifes best interest? Let me remind you Ms Gu that I had booked an appointment with your mother three months ago but we had to rush back to the States so our appointment was left unattended. Your mother is much better than Jeongin so I prefer her, how is that wrong?" Seungmin explained.

Jiyun forwned and was about to say something when Seungmin excused himself and walked away.

Inside the room

"Okay, there are a few complications but after reviewing your reports, I am sure that you are already aware of it," Jisoo inquired.

Caressing her stomach, Sooji nodded her head. "Yes but the accident?"

"It has increased the complications and I think it would be best if you avoid travelling until your delivery. You need to stay under medical assistance all the time." Placing her hand on hers, Jisoo added, "It's already a miracle that you got pregnant naturally Sooji. you have to be very careful. A single mistake and the consequence is going to be very dire."

Sooji sighed and said, "Seungmin didn't want to have a child because the doctor told us that my body is very weak. He wanted to adopt but I wanted a child of our own so I insisted that we at least try but now when it has actually happened, I am scared."

"Hey don't stress over it, you can do it and I'll also try to help you in every possible way. Complications in pregnancy are quite common these days, you are gonna be just fine," Jisoo smiled and patted her head.

Jeon base.

Tapping his fingers on the table, Jeonsan asked, "Why are you telling us this Jihoon? What do you want?"

Shrugging his shoulders, Yunho added, "Not gonna lie but this is very suspicious, why would you ruin your uncle's entire plan?"

"Ash is right Jihoon, why would you do that?" Zixin asked.

"Shouldn't you guys be happy? We know that you people are looking for Mark Tuan and we are telling you where he is—"

Cutting Jaehyuk off, Hwan asked, "But why? There has to be a reason behind it."

Before Jaehyuk could say, Jihoon interjected, "I would've never done this, in fact, we were already making plans to take you guys down but I cannot harm you guys."

"Why not? You were already planning it so how hard is it?" Jihun snapped.

Taking a deep breath, Jihoon answered, "I cannot tell you that."

"I agree with brother Jihun, there must be a reason behind it and it's right for you to tell us," Haruto added.

Looking at Jihoon who was quietly listening, Jaehyuk decided to jump to his rescue. "Listen Jeonsan, Zixin and Huang, I don't wanna include Jihun because we all know he has a thing with Jihoon but you three are sensible people so please understand—"

Cutting Jaehyuk off, Huang asked, "How do you expect us to trust you when we know that you people were against us? What happened that you suddenly decided to tell us everything?"

"Because I love Min." Balling his hand into a fist, Jihoon snapped harder, "I love her okay? And I don't want to lose her forever by going against you guys for a person who isnt even important to me. Do you people think that I care about you all? No I don't, in fact, I never had the intention of involving myself in this mess but I am doing this only for her."

"You what?" Jihun shouted, he couldn't believe what he had just heard. How could his sister have anything to do with the man he hated the most?

Jeonsan raised his brows and inquired, "You and Min? Do you guys have a thing?"

Jaehyuk awkwardly cleared his throat and said, "They might have something in between but it's very complicated now."

"Are you trying to tell me that my sister is in love with this man? Are you fucking kiding me?" Jihun retorted.

Taking a deep breath, Jihoon explained, "Look, I don't care whether you people believe me or not because the only person I care about doesn't want to see me ever again, she hates me. I don't know if this will ever fix anything but I still wanted to do this only for her." Pausing for a while, he added, "The feeling of losing someone you love is awful and her absence is killing me to the point that I don't care about myself anymore. I mean, what is the use of having all the money and power when the person you love doesn't want you anymore?"

Getting up, he continued, "I just miss her so badly that I don't know what I am doing anymore but one thing that I am very sure of is that I'll do anything to gain her trust and love again. I just want to be with her and—" stopping mid-way, he wiped a tear from the corner of his eyes and grabbed his coat.

"I'll wait for you outside Jaehyuk." without waiting for anyone's reply, he walked out of the room.

After a few seconds, Yunho frowned and inquired, "Is there something wrong with my eyes or was he really crying?"

"He was and it's not just today, Jihoon has been like this since the day Min left him," Jaehyuk explained.
