Jeon mansion

Around midnight.

Somi's room.

Pacing back and forth in her room, Somi was impatiently waiting for Hwan to arrive. Though she had no intention of telling him about Misan and Huang because she knew he wouldn't take it well, she still wanted to see him to calm herself down.

Just then someone knocked at the door. Thinking that it was Hwan, she rushed towards the door to open it.

"Ah thank God you are here I—" she stopped midway when she realized that it wasn't Hwan but Misan.

"Oh why? You wanted to see me?" Huling inquired before stepping into the room.

Hesitating for a while, Somi awkwardly cleared her throat. "Hmm I wanted to talk to you, Yejin and Elsa about the whole wedding thing."

Sitting on the bed, making herself comfortable, Misan casually inquired, "About the wedding? What about it?"

Constantly looking out of the door, Somi kept mumbling something which was completely inaudible. The unexpected appearance of Misan scared the shit out of her because she knew that Hwan would be here any minute and that would make things even more complicated.

"Somi, are you waiting for someone else?"

Closing the door, she vigorously shook her head, "Ahh no, I was just wondering if Yejin and?Elsa are going to show up too."

Waving her hand in the air, Misan scoffed, "Ah no, Yejin left with Haruto and Ash is accompanying Elsa right now. Seojun had to leave because he had important work to take care of before we leave tomorrow so since I am alone, I thought I should accompany my best friend.

Without waiting for Somi's reply, she added, "It is gonna be so much fun because I have so many things to tell you about Huang and our relationship."

Giving her a weak smile, Somi tried to keep her face as neutral as possible and tried to act normal.

Grabbing Somis hand, Misan dragged her towards the bed for a little chit-chat. "So I know I had been keeping things away from you and others but you have no idea how nervous and guilty I was feeling. I thought you would break your friendship with me and not talk to me for days—"

Cutting her off, Somi vigorously shook her head, "No, why would I do that? If I don't understand you, who will?"

Giving her a hug, Misan sighed, "You are too kind, Somi, I mean, if you were hiding something from me and if i would've found out about it like the way you did, I really don't know what I would have done."

Pulling away, Somi nervously chuckled, "What do you mean? I am sure that you would have reacted just the way I did, right?"

Scrunching her brows, Misan answered, "What? Of course not, what makes you think that I would have reacted that way? We are best friends and we aren't supposed to hide anything from each other."

"Because you are very kind hearted Somi and I am not."

"But—" Somi stopped midway when someone knocked at the door. Widening her eyes in shock, she was about to rush to the door but Misan grabbed her hand.

"Just stay here, I'll open it."

"No it's fine, I'll—"

Raising her brows at her, Misan inquired, "It's just the door, why are you being so jumpy? Are you hiding something? Because if you are, you do know that you are a terrible liar right?"

"What? Lying? Why would I lie to you?" Somi nervously chuckled before sitting on the edge of the bed.

Without saying anything, Misan started walking towards the door.

"I am so sorry for being late hon—" Widening his eyes in shock, Hwan stopped midway when he saw his sister instead of his girlfriend.

Leaning against the door slab, Misan raised her brows, "Now what are you doing here at this hour brother?"

"I-I just arrived and I thought that it was Wonwoo's room so—"

Slapping her forehead, Somi quickly gestured Hwan to leave before they would get busted.

"Wonwoo's room? You thought this Wonwoo's room?" When Hwan nodded his head, she added, "I think you are working too hard big bro, you need to chill or maybe go on dates." Without waiting for his reply, Misan suggested, "I have a friend Gayoung and she is single looking for a date so if you are interested—"

Cutting her off, Hwan snapped, "There is no need for that and stop pairing me with useless people, you know that I am not interested in dating or other things."

"Yes, I can see that you are not at all interested in those things," Misan smiled.

Taking off his coat, Hwan cleared his throat, "So since I am in the wrong room, I'll leave immediately but just to let you know my little sister, I haven't had dinner yet and I also brought chinese takeouts." Without waiting for anyone's reply, he walked away.

Closing the door, Misan asked, "Hmm strange, do you wanna have chinese?"

Vigorously shaking her head, Somi chuckled, "What? No, of course not."

....

An hour later.

"Somi, are you listening to me?"

Awkwardly clearing her throat, Somi nodded her head, "Yes I am."

Glancing at her watch, Misan said, "Hmm, I should leave now." Getting down from the bed, she added, "We have an early flight to catch."

"Yeah right, I am also very sleepy."

"Ah so you are going to sleep too? Very well, I'll see you tomorrow morning."

After Misan left, Somi breathed a sigh of relief and slumped up on the couch. Though she found Misan's behaviour very strange, she was too mentally drained out to think about anything else.
