What to Expect When Expecting in an Omegaverse: Changlix/Hyunlix

Dumpling's First Kick.

It's a normal evening off after work and school, when Felix is laying on his back with his shirt rolled up. He's pressing spots on his belly experimentally, hoping to feel some movement from baby girl. She's usually active after he eats and he'd just had a big meal with Hyunjin about half an hour ago. He taps and rubs his belly, poking in certain spots to see what will make her respond. There's usually a fluttering or jerky feeling in his belly when she moves. He adores it but he wishes others could feel it.

"Little one, can you ple-" he stops with a gasp when he feels it, a feeling he hasn't felt before. It feels a lot stronger than her usual movements, but it doesn't hurt. It's still jerky but strong like a punch or kick. He presses his fingers into the spot she'd just hit and she does it again. "Hyunjin! Come here, quick!" He yells for the beta. He doesn't want to move from his spot and mess up baby girl's position.

Hyunjin comes running, a panicked expression on his face, eyebrows high and his eyes wide. "What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asks when he appears in Felix's door way.

"Yes! Come here, quickly!" He beckons the beta over, who seems a bit less jittery now that he's seen Felix smiling happily. Felix feels baby girl nudge his womb again and he pulls Hyunjin in as soon as he's in reach.

"Wha- Is she kicking?" Hyunjin asks and Felix nods rapidly.

"Wait, press here. I don't know if she'll do it again." The omega guides the tall beta's hand to press into his lower belly. "I swear it felt so stro- Ah! Did you feel that?" Felix looks up from his belly. Hyunjin's eyes are bright and his lips are parted in a gleeful smile.

"Ohmygosh, oh my gosh! I felt it!" He cheers, "Ew, it feel so weird~" He giggles but continues to press the same spot.

"Yah! Don't say ew to her" Felix laughs and lets Hyunjin continue to poke and prod at his belly. "Try talking to her." he instructs Hyunjin.

"Dumpling-ah~" He calls to her sweetly. Hyunjin has recently taken to calling Felix's daughter this nickname and it's endlessly endearing to the omega. "Dumpling, Dumpling~" he sings and she responds with a big kick. Hyunjin squeals like a little girl, making Felix laugh.

"I think she likes your voice," Felix smiles as he watches Hyunjin dote on his belly. Then suddenly he's hit with a bitter feeling. Changbin should be feeling this right now. He should've been the first. Felix can't help but feel like he's given away this precious experience and taken it from his daughter's other father. Any chance he can get for Changbin to bond with their daughter, he wants to give him. Sometimes he even feels guilty that the older doesn't get to feel as close to their baby girl as he does.

Felix has just gotten off a long shift at the bakery on a Sunday night. He requested to work a double because he needed the money and they were short staffed. Of course, Jeongyeon put up a fight about it because he's pretty pregnant at this point, but eventually she gave in when he reassures her countless times that he was fine.

Now, he kinda wishes he hadn't agreed to closing though. The bakery closed at 9PM and by the time he'd completed all his closing tasks, it was almost 11PM. He's waiting for Changbin to come get him inside of the store now. He'd made the mistake of telling the alpha that he would be riding the bus home, and Changbin wasn't having it.

He's watching a video of a new parent's routine with their newborn on TikTok as he waits. Apparently tummy time could be started as early as when the pup's umbilical cord stump falls off. He wants to definitely do tummy time with baby girl as soon as possible-

Felix jumps in fright when someone knocks on the glass window of the bakery. He looks up to see Changbin standing at the window, and he gestures for Felix to come outside. His car is parked right behind him and Felix nods as he checks the bakery one last time.
