Two weeks after the incident with her uncle Aegon, Deiry's bruise was healed and she was allowed outside the castle. After everything that had happened her mother and father would not live them alone at any hour of the day of night. All the children had been given instructions not to go anywhere without their guards. The two younger children were always with her mother's most trusted lady in waitings and maids. Her uncle Aemond had taken her flying a few times, but Deirys could tell there was something bothering him. He was not as present as other times. Deirys had found out by listening to the maids that her uncle Aegon still had not woken up, she had also heard about the brutal beating Aemond had given him, but the maids did not know why he had done it. Her grandsire had not found out about what had happened. Deirys would not tell him, she was afraid he would punish Aemond for what he had done.
