I held Taylor's hand tightly as I counted my footsteps. Forty one, forty two, forty three...

"It's going to be okay." She promised, but I wasn't so sure. I closed my eyes for a moment, now focusing on my breath. The door opened, and so did my eyes. The lights flashed against us as Taylor held my hand more tightly.

I focused on her hand against mine as we sped up on our way to the car. Taylor jumped into the car, me following her. Not as gracefully, I fell down on the seat before the door closed behind us. Her bodyguard started driving, and the flashing lights disappeared soon behind us. I let out a breath i didn't realize I was holding, and put on my seatbelt.

"Are you okay, Y/N? You look a little pale." Taylor asked me concerned, and I looked next to her. My face softened, and I noticed how our hands were still intertwined.

"Yes, now I am... How do you ever get used to that?" I asked, and she sighed.

"I don't think you ever do. You just have to get through it. I..." Her voice faded as she looked down.

"What?" I asked softly. I could tell she had just cut herself off, and also tell that it would be helpful to ask. What I would do to hear her toughts, the toughts of a mastermind. I smiled at the tought of her song passed by my mind. Her songs never failed to show up occasionally.

"I wish I could be better for you. You never wanted this, and I know that." She said, and I leaned against her to brush her bangs out of her blue eyes.

"Taylor, I would do anything for you. This is nothing, when I think about it. I love you." I said. She leaned closer to me, so our lips met. "I love you too." She breathed later, and I leaned my head on her shoulder. I noticed the radio playing, and looked out of the windows as the world passed by. Time did as well, but not a second was wasted by Taylor's side.

"Meredith!" I exclaimed as we entered the front door later. I sat down on the floor and hugged the furry cat, and it started purring as soon as I patted it behind the ears. "I swear, she likes you more than me at this point." Taylor said as she hung her coat up on the wall. She turned again, and sighed.

"Can I take a picture? It might be the sweetest thing I have ever seen, the two things I love the most together..." She said, with a grin slowly showing up on her face as she spoke.

"Of course, love." I said casually and looked up at her a bit before I looked down at the cat again. "Love? Gosh, you know exactly what to say to make my heart flutter." Taylor said as she pointed her phone on us. I smiled widely down at the cat for one, and up at her for the second one. I stood up, and the cat jumped off my lap. I pecked Taylor's lips before taking off my jacket as well and hanging it up on the wall. I felt her tired eyes resting on me before I turned again and was embraced by her arms.

"Song idea!" She exclaimed suddenly, followed by my laugh as she reached out for a pen and paper. I watched as she wrote lone by line quickly down, obsessed over it.

"Mastermind behavior." I said, making her break a smile. The more time that passed by with her made me realize how paparazzis couldn't spoil it for me anymore. How nothing but us could ruin this love.
