CHAPTER 30

After our basketball game, the professors showered us with congratulations. Raya, Charlotte, and Savannah, with their remarkable stamina, continued to engage in more games. However, Ma'am Vivien didn't allow me to participate again. By 5pm, we returned to our room to freshen up and prepare for the upcoming student concert.

"Are you done, Charlotte!?" Savannah's voice echoed with exasperation, as Charlotte occupied the bathroom during Savannah's turn. Ang tagal niya matapos maligo.

"Teka lang!" Charlotte's response came from within.

Savannah audibly sighed in frustration. Meanwhile, Raya and I had completed changing our clothes and were patiently waiting for them. Our plan was to head out and attend the student concert together.

Hour passed and we found ourselves watching our reflection through the mirror. Iba-iba ang suot namin. Savannah opted for a short-sleeved top paired with well-fitted pants that accentuated her figure, highlighting her healthy physique. Soraiya chose a black, snug-fitting t-shirt that complemented her frame, along with skinny jeans. Charlotte, on the other hand, went for an oversized black t-shirt with red stripes, paired with black shorts featuring red accents. As for me, I donned a fitted small t-shirt that revealed a toned midriff and completed the look with a jean jacket and black pants. With our outfits assembled, we were all set to head out.

"Wow! I didn't imagine na ganito kaganda ang pagka-design ng stage." Raya said while staring at the stage.

"Handa na akong mag perform d'yan mamaya para kay Samantha," natatawang sabi naman ni Charlotte.

"I'm eager to perform for my wife," giit ni Savannah.

"Cassandra is also here, I'll perform for her tonight." Raya added.

Nakikinig lang ako sa kanila tapos tumingin sila sakin sabay, "Ikaw Frey? Para kanino ka bumabangon?"

"Sa nescafe sana kaso bawal na ako magkape," natatawang gawad ko sa kanila. Sabay naman naghagikhikan ang mga bruha.

Nagsidamihan ang mga student sa labas, marami na rin ang nakapaligid sa stage. Lumabas ang mga taga GSU na magpe-perform, may banda, may solo, at may sasayaw. Habang tinitingnan ko ang stage nakaramdam ako ng kaba. Nagsiksikan na ang mga manonood kaya pumunta na kami sa likuran as what they've said na mag perform kami, hindi naman ako maka-hindi sa kanila tsaka sagadin ko na lang ang oras na kasama ko sila besides we are here to enjoy.

"Ano ba ang gagawin natin sa stage?" I inquired at them. Nagsimula na ang ibang student na mag perform at ang ingay na din ng paligid.

"Secret, basta sumabay ka nalang samin, okay?" sagot ni Raya.

"Paano ako sasabay e hindi ko alam kung anong gagawin natin." Pairap kong sabi.

"Hindi naman ikaw ang mauuna si Charlotte naman kaya sigurado kaming maca-catch up mo rin." Sagot ni Raya sabay kindat.

I rolled my eyes at them. Positioned towards the rear, we had a clear view of the students reveling in the performance by other students. Amid the audience, my gaze settled on her. She stood at the heart of the crowd, observing the students on stage with an impassive demeanor. There was an air of scrutiny about her, as if she were evaluating the performers. Standing nearby, yet at a distance, was Samantha, mirroring her expression. Same expression with Ma'am Rhea as if they were the judges.

"Malapit na tayong mag perform." Sabi ni Charlotte, kinabahan ako bigla, sumakit ang tiyan ko ng dahil sa kaba. Sanay naman ako mag perform pero sa art lang.

"Don't get nervous. Let's just enjoy this, just go with the flow." Savannah assured habang nakatingin sakin. Tumingin ako sa dalawang katabi namin at kitang-kita naman na excited sila. A smile formed on my lips, they're really that much excited.
