THIRD PERSON'S POV.

They carefully walked towards the room that had it door stood slightly open. Several grunts and sound were coming from the room including an all too familiar growl that sent a jittery feeling through Katherine.

Her legs moved faster...well, as fast as her swollen feet had humongous belly could allow her. It helped that on her feet were huge fluffy slippers that felt like clouds. She and Carolina stopped at the door not attempting to move inside and watched for a few minutes.

"What the hell are they doing?" Carolina asked in whispered breath incredulously as she and Katherine watched grown men who have gained prestige in the world and they can be said to be a force of their own... struggle with assembling a crib.

Caspian growled in frustration and kicked a small piece aside and ran his hands through his hair in frustration. Lincoln looked like he feels the exact same way but his eyes widen as he looked down at the kicked aside piece with familiar and happy recognition.
He picked it up immediately.

"This is the piece I've been looking for." His voice echoed with happiness as he moved to a bigger piece of the furniture and tried to attach it. He tried for a while but it looked like he was trying to fix a square peg in a triangle hole. His shoulders slumped in defeat "it's not it." He shook his head in disappointment and settled into a squatting position.

His announcement seemed to disappoint Vincenzo who didn't know that he was also holding his breath and waiting for the piece to be attached and finally get a piece of furniture to fit. Katherine's brows rose very high in question and a jittery feeling ran through her whole body at the scene in front of her, especially Caspian who looks utterly defeated.

Carolina decided to alert them of their presence by breaking the now settled silence.

"What are you doing?" She didn't need to ask but by the tone of her voice, she was more in the mood to tease.

The men's attention snapped to the two women that stood at the door.

"Katherine what are you doing out of bed?" Caspian asked moving away from his buddha seating position on the carpeted floor to a kneeling position as he attempted to stand up.

"Oh please, she's been in that thing  forever." Carolina rolled her eyes slightly irritated by Caspian's protectiveness but secretly greatful for it.

"Taking a little walk." Katherine replied instead ignoring Carolina's annoyed response. "But please do enlighten me on what it is you are doing." Katherine said amused.

"We're assembling the crib." Caspian replied before looking around him at all the scattered pieces of the furniture and looking unsure of that fact.

"It looks like three powerful men begin defeated by a baby crib." A snicker escaped Katherine's mouth before growing into a full grown giggle.

"No. The crib has clearly won the battle." Carolina responded motioning to the pieces scattered all across the room.

The men glared at them but they knew they were right and directed their glares to the damning furniture pieces instead.

"I'd never think you'll be a part of this, Vincenzo." Katherine said and her brow rose in question.

"I wouldn't. I came to discuss issues of importance with Caspian but I clearly came at the wrong time." He cleared his throat clearly embarrassed and tried to do something with his hands and settled for putting it on his waist and avoiding eye contact.

"I'm doing my godfatherly duties." Lincoln said proudly without being asked. "Which is to prove that I'm more than capable of doing this alone without him." Lincoln motioned to the shy looking Vincenzo " if I take full reigns of being the godfather." He looked sincere but Katherine was far from buying it.
