As soon as the groupchat had received word that Kira and Kai gad ordered a pad thai, their living room was now filled with everyone else who they literally saw five hours ago.
"Is my apartment a refugee centre?" Kira asked, walking into the room after her trip to seven eleven with Krit to get some beers.
"Welcome home babe" Haerin said, patting the space on the floor next to her, getting a plate for her.
"So what happened to your guys' living rooms huh?" Kira asked bitterly, knowing that she would always be the one on clean up duty after they hang out at her place
"Come on Kira, we came because we missed you and loved spending time with you" Taehyun said, overly-sweet and she didn't buy it.
"Your brother also has a PS5" He said with a smile and Kira rolled her eyes
"Plus we heard you got a job! We need to celebrate" Haerin chimed happily
"I feel like we celebrate something every week" Kai said
"Yeah last week I fixed the radiator so we had drinks at mine" Krit said, shaking his head with a smile
"Yeah and the week before you guys had to celebrate our one year anniversary" Eunhye said
"I had restaurant reservation too!" Sora butted in with a pout
"Well you guys going out for a year is a pretty big milestone for us too in my opinion!" Taehyun argued jokingly, loving to get under everyone else's skin
"So Eunhye, how's your placement going?" Kira asked, changing the topic. Eunhye was the only one in the group that studied dentistry with Kira, while her girlfriend Sora studied nursing. She met Taehyun and Haerin through Kai who also studied something to do with business. Haerin was probably the closest friend to her though. She didn't get to see Eunhye and Sora much since they spend most of their time together.
Krit helped them moved in on the same day as the twins, which led to a lot of their delivery boxes getting mixed up. It's always an awkward story to tell how Krit, who at the time never felt the touch of a woman before, opened up Kira's boxes, stuffed with her bra and underwear. But it did give them an awkward opening to bond and a friendship flourished from there.
"The placement is going good, I'm so glad we're half way through the term though, I'm so tired every time I get home" Eunhye answered, she was one of the few students who got a placement at the dental hospital in Seoul for the first semester.
"Really? I can't wait to start and do something other than assignments" Kira said with a sigh, remembering her neglected 5000 word essay that was due by the end of next week.
"Oh yeah, your placement is next semester, that means we'll be together!" Sora said, happy that she wouldn't have to be alone for it.
"TWO BADDIES TWO BADDIES, ONE SOJU!! Who's gonna be my drinking partner tonight?" Kai asked, lifting up the bottle of soju
"It's literally a school night" Haerin said
"Dude, developing bad drinking habits is like the whole point of college" Kai said rolling his eyes
"Pour me a shot, I'm off work tomorrow" Krit said
"Speaking of Kira being rich now-"
"Literally no one was speaking of it" Kira cut Haerin off with a scoff
"Hush child, let the woman speak" Taehyun said, shushing her
"I say we make her pay us back for all the times we paid for her meals" Haerin smirk
"I thought you were my friend" Kira said, faking a shaky and emotional tone
"So what do we all want for Christmas?" Haerin asked and the group chimed in to answer
"PS5"
"Airpods"
"NCT nation tickets!"
"Are you guys literally crazy? You'll be lucky if I even get you guys a chocolate bar for Christmas, let alone NCT nation tickets" She snickered at the group
"You're such a liar, we were literally meant to go to one of their concerts this year, it was on our 2023 resolution list" Haerin whined
"Wait I thought New Year's resolutions were about bettering yourself as a person" Krit butted in
"Yeah, seeing Johnny grind on the stage to Love on the Floor would definitely better me as a person" Haerin said with a dreamy voice
"She's gone crazy, Haerin snap out of it" Sora said, clicking her fingers to get Haerin back into reality
"We should go see them live together though" Kai said, being a fan of the group himself
"Yall go on ahead, I'm saving my coin to see Red velvet" Eunhye said excitedly
"Yeah you're definitely gay, not a single straight cell in your body" Taehyun said
"Thanks for clarifying, the fact that I have a girlfriend clearly wasn't enough" Eunhye deadpanned and the group chuckled
"Okay, it was nice seeing you guys...for the second time today. I'm going to bed" Kira said, standing up and stretching
"Okay babe, I'll join you in a bit" Taehyun teased
"You sleep with my sister and you're a dead man" Kai said, an empty but still scary threat.
"No but for real though, no one in this group could get with either of you guys without thinking of the other twin" Krit said and the group agreed, making Kai and Kira awkwardly look at each other
"Wait! This is so true! That one time I had to kiss Kira for spin the bottle, I fully felt like I was making out with Kai" Taehyun said in agreement
"Okay! On that note, thank you and goodnight!" Kira rolled her eyes before walking out of the living room and into her room
