"Jesus, that coffee's really hitting huh?" Jaehyun chuckled as he saw her hands shake slightly as she reached for the cup of hot chocolate he had just prepared

"If I knew there was hot chocolate powder I would've opted for that instead of this death potion" she said, taking a sip at the beverage which was at the perfect temperature

"Jihye goes crazy for it, I have to hide it at the back of the cabinet every time so she doesn't gaslight people into making it for her" Jaehyun sighed, taking a seat back on the couch with a hot mug of green tea instead

"Gaslight?" Kira asked with a bit of surprise, not realising a kid so angelic could do such things. Jaehyun rolled his eyes and turned his head to Kira lazily, keeping his back rested against the sofa

"Trust me, there's s little demon inside her that comes out every once in a while" he said, noticing the songs in the background changing from 'sticker' to a daniel caeser song making him smile at the weird range

"I'm surprised some fans even like sticker" he said and she laughed

"No I genuinely like heard it for the first time and had to take a hiatus from you guys—"

"You took a hiatus?" He laughed and she nodded smiling widely

"Yeah but then I listened to it again later and like...I actually liked it" She said and he nodded

"Yeah it's one of those songs you need to listen to more than once to like it" He said, agreeing with her

"Yeah and like...127 is probably the only group that could pull it off anyway, like genuinely. Plus I pulled your photocard in that album and you looked so good— um...sorry" she said, hiding behind her hands again as she couldn't help but rave about Jaehyun to his face

"Was this the album they were talking about in the groupchat? When you pulled my photocard?" He asked and she nodded shyly making him smile

"How long have you been a fan?" He asked, wanting to know more about why she was interested in them, hoping it was more than just about how they looked

"Like...I knew of you guys from debut but I was like hard core into Exo at that time but I listened to all the title tracks you know. I was in London back then as well so Kpop wasn't a big thing there. And then boss came out in 2018 and I've been stuck in this hole every since" she said and he nodded

"Yeah 2018 was insane for us, we were so busy that year...actually Jihye was born that year" He said, remembering the special memories the year held for him

"Oh my god, I actually forget you have a kid like..how did you manage a child and a career like that's literally insane" She said

"That's litch-erally insane" He said with a broken english accent to mock her and she rolled her eyes

"I lived in America for four years, that's why I'm here man" She said, attempting his infamous foreign swagger rap line

"You guys are never going to forget that, are you?" He asked, rubbing his eyes out of tiredness

"No, it's too iconic" she said, finishing her mug of hot chocolate

"How was the concert by the way?" She asked, trying not to look below his eyes level even though hid spread out thighs were making it extremely hard for her to focus, she almost swore he knew exactly what he was doing

"It was so good! It was really fun. The last time we performed at the dome was for the link concert" he said

"Dude I was actually there for it!" She said and he widened his eyes

"Yeah dude it was insane! Your solo stage was too good like, I actually couldn't deal" she said and he smiled

"Yeah I was actually pretty nervous about performing that...but I'm glad my fans could like appreciate you know"

"What's not to appreciate dude, the lyrics were insane and your vocal range just put it all together. It was insane seriously" she compliment, his ears slightly turning a little red at the praises, and he was thankful his black hair was covering them.

Before he could respond, the sound of feet padding against the floor could be heard and the two immediately to Jihye who presented herself, rubbing her eyes with her bumble bee plushie in another hand

"Oh Jihye, did we wake you up?" Jaehyun asked, noticing it was way past her bed time as she started to approach him

"I can't sleep" she mumbled, climbing onto his lap, clinging onto his torso

"Me neither kiddo" Kira mumbled closing her laptop and putting in on the coffee table

"What are you guys doing?" Jihye asked, sitting upright on his lap to face Kira as well

"Just talking...but we're going to sleep soon. You need to sleep as well" Jaehyun said, kissing her cheek lightly

"I'm hungry" she mumbled, turning to look him in the eye, pleading him for something to snack on

"Eating late at night is a bad hab-"

"Do you want a grilled cheese? I'm hungry too" Kira asked, cutting him off, standing up at the idea of food getting her attention as well.

"What's that?" Jihye blinked, as if it was a crazy suggestion

"You haven't had grilled cheese sandwich? Jihye I'm about to change your life forever" Kira said and Jihye chuckled, turning her attention to the older girl. Jaehyun playfully glared at Kira for breaking one of his parenting rules he tried to stick by, but he couldn't ignore how happy Jihye was to do things with Kirs

"Let's lets your dad get some sleep, come on. Which cheeses do you like?" Kira said, holding out her hand which the little girl instantly took

"Goodnight daddy" Jihye said, hopping off his lap in an instant and he kissed the top of her head

"Goodnight baby" he mumbled, before looking back to Kira and mouthing a small 'thank you'. She smiled and turned her attention to Jihye who followed her to the kitchen as Kira stressed the importance of picking the right cheeses for the meal.

He stood up to his feet, ruffling his hair a little bit before he put he checked his phone, seeing messages from the groupchat with Kira's friends along with other groupchats with other members and his friends outside of NCT, congratulating him on the concert.

"I be walking with the cheese that's the queso!"

"Queso! Queso!"

He heard Kira faintly sing his regular line in the kitchen, Jihye adding the adlibs too, making him chuckle as he left the girls alone, walking to his room to change out of his clothes and into more comfy ones for bed, trusting that Kira would successfully put his little girl to bed again after their midnight snack.
