Everyone has secrets, some come in the form of a 5 year old who spills hot chocolate all over the carpet. Who knew a mere part time job could lead Kira to meet her idol, and eventually find love...
"Oh...who's that?" Kira asked herself, seeing the doorbell ring late at night. She was confused for a second whether she should answer the door or not, knowing she wasn't expecting anyone. She stood up to her feet with the realisation that it may be Jaehyun, even thought it was fairly early in the night for him to come home.
"Jihye stay here okay?" She said and the girl nodded, being too immersed in her paint by number print out. Kira's feed treaded to the door slowly, looking through the peephole, only to see a man with a mask and a hoodie over his head, looking down at his phone.
She opened the door slowly, catching the man's attention. And once her eyes met his, she almost wanted to slam the door in his face, not believing her eyes.
"Hey...Kira right?" His voice asked sweetly, a little more hoarse then she was used to hearing it
"J-Jaemin..." her voice squeaked and his eyes smiled at the shock on her face
"I'm sorry...It's just dawning on me that I'm babysitting for a literal idol right now...What are you..." her voice trailed off and he chuckled
"Jaehyun asked me to look after Jihye, he said you have plans tonight" he said and she blinked twice, taken back by the statement
"Can we come in?" Jaemin asked, and her eyes immediately went to the fluffy white cat in his arms which she somehow missed before
"Yeah of course" She said, opening the door wider for him, waiting as he took off his shoes and placed his cat on the floor
"Which cat is it?" She asked, bending down to pet the kitty
"Luna" Jaemin smiled, taking off his mask and hoodie, allowing her to fully have a glance at the man who looked so natural elegant and put together regardless
"I live a few floors down and I'm not doing anything tonight" he said, heading into the living room and she trailed behind him
"But...I have no plans tonight" she said and Jaemin turned around
"He said you're seeing your friends tonight...should I call him and ask—"
"Oh..wait yeah I do...sorry" she said, finally realising what was going on. Jaemin nodded, unphased by her skittish behaviour as he walked straight to Jihye who was too focused to notice him.
"Oi, munchkin, it's me!" Jaemin said, putting on his usual happy and energetic voice to get Jihye's attention
"Nana!" Jihye exclaimed, immediately climbing onto his lap as he sat down on the couch. You could tell she was being treated like a princess by every member of NCT. Her eyes immediately as she saw the white fluffy tailed friend sprawl out onto the floor beside his feet too
"What are you doing here?" She asked, eyes turning to Kira who walked towards her bag, deciding to pack up her things
"Kira is busy tonight so I'm going to stay with you, do you want to watch a movie—"
"No! We're painting! Kira you promised!" Jihye exclaimed and Kira turned around to look at her sad eyes making her give in a little bit
"What's wrong with me?" Jaemin asked with a pout
"You're not an artist" Jihye said with a frown and he scoffed
"Okay hater" Jaemin said, acting upset and Kira chuckled
"Seriously, you promised..." Jihye said with a sigh
"Hmm how about I stay for another hour? We can paint" Kira suggested, knowing she could make it to the club in time since Jaemin came at a perfect time
"Yeah, and then we can watch a movie after" Jaemin suggested, poking her tummy making her eventually give in
"So you're an artist?" Jaemin asked, sitting down on the floor with Jihye, in the middle of them both
"Sort of..." she said, heat rushing to her cheeks at the way he suddenly focused on her even thought she knew deep down it was to break the ice.
"Can I see one of your drawings?" He asked and she shook her head making him pout
"Kira drew the big painting daddy has!" Jihye said, catching Jaemin's attention
"You mean the big one in the study?" He asked and she nodded
"You said it looked creepy" Jihye said and Jaemin laughed loudly to cover up the statement but Kira heard it loud and clear
"No I didn't, ah Jihye...you're crazy" he said awkwardly smiling in Kira's direction as she chuckled
"And you're a liar." Jihye said with sass to him
"Creepy?" Kira asked, crossing her arms over her chest and he ran his hand through his hair
"Not like...creepy bad but more like...creepy...creepy-"
"Sexy?"
"Precisely, creepy sexy" he laughed as she shook her head at him
"So you're a fan?" He asked and she nodded
"I hope that doesn't make it weird for you" she said and he shook his head, wanting to seem like his usual idol self even though be was tired
"No of course not...I love my fans" he said and she chuckled, a blush creeping back onto her cheeks
"Especially the fans that make fanart" he said, pushing the paint brushes to her side of the table making her look up at him with wide eyes
"Can you draw a picture of me with Luna?" He asked, smiling widely as he picked up his furry friend, petting her gracefully.
"I don't know if I can finish it in an hour but...I'll try my best. I haven't painted in a while" she said, arranging the paints in an orderly manner
"It's okay, I just want to see your skills" he said with a smile
"I'll try not to make it creepy" she teased, shaking her head at the boy who was the same age as her
"Creepy sexy!" He retorted, not letting her win
