"There." Kira said, tying Jihye's hair into cute little space buns after she found her hiding in the bathroom.
"It's so cute!" Jihye said with a happy giggle she bobbed her head side to side to see if the buns would fall out.
"You too" Jihye said, sharing two neon pink hair ties with the powerpuff girls as a charm to Kira.
"Hmm you suit space buns because your hair is long but...I think I might keep my hair down" Kira responded, knowing her hair was depending on the dry shampoo she lazily sprayed on this morning
She helped Jihye hop down from the counter, who was like an olympic sprinter as soon as she got to her feet, running to her dad to excitedly show him her new hairdo
"You look like a little bunny" Jaehyun chuckled, lifting his daughter up into his arms as he came running towards her, his eyes catching a glimpse of Kira who was trailing behind, avoiding his gaze since she practically ran away from him after their last encounter
"What are you two going to do today?" Jaehyun asked placing Jihye back down before slipping on his puffer jacket, getting ready to be collected by his manager to head to practice
"I'm going to do my english homework and then...I don't know" Jihye shrugged, running back off to her bedroom to look for things to do
"Sorry, she's been hyper since this morning" Jaehyun said with a chuckle, zipping up his jacket as he heard his daughter's feet padding on the ground, running from room to room
"Don't be, I'll just read her that story and she'll be fast asleep" Kira joked and Jaehyun smiled
"I didn't mean to pass out last night" Jaehyun said, leaning against the back of the couch as he conversed with Kira
"It's okay, I bet you were exhausted" she said with slight concern as he nodded
"Yeah...we're practicing in the dome today for the concert" he said with a small smile regardless of the eyebags that had formed from the constant practice and vocal training to prepare for the concerts ahead
"They better be giving you a long time to rest after or I swear I'll actually go burn SM to the ground" She said and he chuckled, running a hand through his hair that was freshly washed and dried
"Were you meant to go with your friends to the concert?" He asked, a somewhat guilty feeling settling in his stomach since he had read the groupchat messages earlier this morning
"Yeah, we bought out tickets together but its okay. I got the day 3 tickets but I think Eunhye will go with her girlfriend instead...and the rest of them are on day 5" Kira said, and he hummed in response, biting the inside of his cheek
"I can get someone else to watch Jihye if you want to go—"
"No seriously! I swear its okay...I'm literally talking to THE Jung Jaehyun right now so I don't mind" She said, sheepishly scratching the back of her neck as he chuckled at her statement. Before he could add anything further to her comment, Jihye came rushing back into the room with art supplies, messily scatter them onto the coffee table
"Ah Jihye...you're making a mess" Jaehyun scolded slightly, turning to pick up a few of the paint brushes that had fallen to the ground. He felt his phone vibrate in his back pocket and he brought it out to see his manager texting him that he was parked downstairs.
"I gotta go guys...Jihye be good okay?" He said, kissing the top of her head and ruffling her hair a little, only to get shouted at for nearly messing up her space buns
"I'll see you later" he said, turning back around to Kira and she nodded
"Don't work too hard" She said, walking with him to the door
