"Hey, you're up" Jaehyun greeted as he walked into the kitchen, seeing her root through the cabinets on her tippy toes and he chuckled

"Dude I didn't sleep" she admitted and he widened his eyes

"What? Not even a little bit?" He asked and she shook her head

"Do you want to sleep in my bed or something—"

"No honestly its fine, if I sleep now my sleep schedule will be fucked" she said reaching for the death potion.

"I'm just going to drink another cup of that concoction" She said, making him smile

"I think I need to start pushing that coffee to the back of the cabinets with the hot chocolate" He joked and she chuckled

"Hot chocolate?" A small voice asked from behind him and he squeezed his eyes shut making Kira laugh

"Do we have hot chocolate?" Jihye asked with a pout and puppy eyes and Jaehyun wished he had enough willpower to say no to her, but he was fully in the wrong for saying hot chocolate carelessly, knowing his daughter was fully possessed by the chocolate lady from spongebob sometimes

"Yes we do, go brush your teeth. I'll make you a cup" Jaehyun said, shooing his daughter off who happily skipped off

"Any plans today?" She asked and he sighed, leaning against the counter

"I'm too tired to go out...I'll probably stay home with Jihye if she doesn't beg to go to the park" he said with a sigh

"I can take her tomorrow if you want, you should get some rest" she said, knowing the next concert was tonight

"Yeah actually, I'll let her know. Thanks so much" he said and she nodded

"What about you, any plans?" He asked

"Yeah I'm going out with Tae for lunch at the café my friend Eunhye works at, she's in the chat as well. Do you want a cup?" She asked and he nodded, giving her the 'world's best dad' mug which she knew he definitely bought for himself

"Tae...like that guy from the chat?" Jaehyun asked awkwardly, as if it was some random guy she had never mentioned before even though he had seen his texts and responded to him

"Yeah...like my best friend" she chuckled

"Oh...I thought you guys were like...together" He said, rubbing the back of his neck as he opened the fridge, not looking for anything in general but wanting to keep himself occupied so she didn't pick up on his slightly envious tone

"Me and Taehyun? God no...he's like...not my type, like he's really sweet but just more of a friend I guess" she shrugged and he nodded slowly, a question itching to be asked and simply couldn't stop himself

"So like...what is your type?" He asked, grabbing the milk from the fridge and placing it down on the counter

"You." She said bluntly to tease him and he chuckled, reaching for three bowls to make some cereal for breakfast

"I'm going to go change" she said and he nodded, watching her walk away as he replayed her statement in his head. He kept his eyes trained on the cereal that was now placed in front of him with his daughter beside him at the table in her usual spot.
