Kai: is she still crying?

Haerin: yeah...

Haerin: ur moms really mad at her

Eunhye: for what like??? It's not her fault

Kai: she got mad at me too for not taking care of her properly

Taehyun: I mean the blood test came out to be not as bad as we thought anyway....

Haerin: still dude, the situation could've been way worse

Kai: tell her to come down and eat when she's off the phone

"Like seriously Kira... Kai called up at like 5 in the morning saying you were in the hospital!"

"I'm sorry"

"Why do you even go clubbing if you can't even handle a drink or two...like you're twenty two years old and we can't even trust that you're capable of handling yourself on a night out. All you've done is cause your brother and your parents stress about the situation—"

"I didn't know this was going to happen like... It's not my fault, like you're literally victim blaming right now"

"Kira I'm not. It's not unreasonable for me to get mad at you for putting yourself in danger on a night out and ending up in the hospital"

"Okay...I said I'm sorry"

"...get some rest and just focus on college. Your midterms are coming up so there's no reason to be clubbing. Just focus on your studies and we'll talk when you're back home."

"Fine...bye..."

And without another word expressed between her and her mother, the call ended. Kira blew her nose onto the tissue that Haerin handed to her, wiping her tears with the back of her palms

"She's so fucking mean" Kira cried and Haerin patted her back reassuringly, knowing Kira would usually feel horrible every time she was contacted by her parents

"Like she wasn't even worrying...she was just pissed off that she woke up at 5am and that she has to deal with the hospital stuff. Like it's literally not my fault"

"Yeah I know, it's not your fault at all. Don't listen to her okay?"

"Like I just wanted to have a fun night with my friends, I didn't even drink that much like...fuck. She'll always see the faults. She can't even be emotionally there for me and tell me its okay" Kira mumbled into her shoulder, hearing her phone ring from beside her

"Is it my mom?" She asked, and Haerin looked over to see the unusual called ID

"It's Jihye's Dad... will I tell him to call you ba-"

"No...I need to talk to him about taking time off work anyway" Kira said, sniffing her tears back and rubbing her eyes as Haerin got up from the bed. Kira answered the phone when Haerin closed the door behind her, leaving her alone to talk to Jaehyun who was silent on the other end of the line.
