"Hey...you gonna sleep here tonight?" Jaehyun asked, shaking the boy on house couch awake and he stretched out his arms and let out a groan
"Well...I was already sleeping" he smartly replied, making the older one chuckle, before sitting up on the couch
"Is Jihye in her room?" Jaemin asked and Jaehyun nodded, knowing he carried the girl to her bed after he found her cuddled up to Jaemin on the couch with Netflix asking if they were still watching finding nemo.
"I'll head off then, come on Luna" Jaemin said standing to his feet and getting his sleepy cat's attention
"Thanks so much for coming tonight bro" Jaehyun said, tiredness evident in his voice and Jaemin was accustomed to it
"Anytime...it was really nice talking to Kira too" Jaemin said, a yawn shortly escaping his lips
"Oh yeah? What did you guys talk about?" Jaehyun asked, heating up some water in a pan to cook some late night ramen, something he never really did these days because of his diet.
"Just life...we're the same age so it kind of came naturally I guess. It was really nice to talk to a fan in a casual way you know?" Jaemin asked, smiling as he remembered the conversation they had while she was painting him.
"Oh yeah..." Jaehyun's voice trailed off slightly, knowing he never got to talk to Kira for long, and it almost caused a little stir in him when he noticed how fond Jaemin was of her. He always found it a little hard to talk to her about anything other than Jihye, regardless of his natural flirting tendencies, so it made him wonder why she was closed off to him than she was to Jaemin.
"And like she's great with Jihye, they seem so close it's crazy...she's like a natural" Jaemin said and Jaehyun chuckled, remembering how patient Kira always was with her, making his five years of parenting seem like a joke compared to her one month of experience.
"Yeah...she's great" Jaehyun said, pursing his lips into a thing line in attempts to hide his obvious dimples, making his face look like bread instead.
"Anyway, I'll see you later" Jaemin said, and Jaehyun hummed in response, serving his food into a bowl as he heard the front door shut.
Jaehyun sat down at the couch, placing his bowl on the coffee table, getting a good look at the painting of Jaemin which was insanely good to him
His eyes scanned across the table to look at the other paint by numbers picture done by his daughter. His eyes graced the painting of the three bears from the goldilocks story, a story he often refused to read to her before bed knowing it opened a can of worms in regards to where her mama bear was, a conversation Jaehyun wasn't yet ready to have with his daughter.
He took out his phone, opting to watch something to keep him entertained while he ate, but his hands subconsciously travelled towards the instagram icon, trying to see if there was any messages from the girl, and surprisingly there was.

Jaehyun blinked as he finished all the voice messages in one go. The sting from the noodles was burning his lips but he was too caught off guard to care. And while the messages were cute and had him giggling almost, the slur in her speech caused slight concern in him. So he opted to text her to make sure she was okay, a sigh of relief leaving his lips when she replied quickly
