Chapter 10- Foolish Acts

"Abhi, mujhe Maa ka reports dekhna hai" Manik suddenly entered Abhimanyu's cabin. "Oh hi, I'll just come later", he is about to go but Mukti stopped him.

"Dr. Malhotra, I came here to ask about your mom, you can be here" she said. "Thank you, she is doing well now, she is unconscious now" Manik smiled at her.

"Okay, I'll take your leave then" Mukti bid bye and left from there. "Haa, mujhe reports do mujhe bhi jaana hai" Manik asked him.

''Manikkk! 2 minutes wait nahi kar sakte ho kya! You spoiled all my plan" Abhimanyu felt disappointed. "Kya plans?" Manik asked as he had no idea of what Abhimanyu is talking about.

"Mukti se almost friends hone ka opportunity tha, but as usual tum galat time pe aa hi jaate ho" Abhimanyu nearly killed Manik.

"Did you really take that bet so serious Abhi! I thought you will give up" Manik said saving himself from Abhimanyu. "Abhimanyu kabhi kuch bolta nahi, agar bol diya tho wo sach hi hoga" he boasted.

"Iss liye tum ek girlfriend ko dusre ki baare mein nahi bataya hoga" Manik made fun of Abhi. "Manik tum nahi jaante ho ye sab" Abhimanyu jerked him off. "Well I don't even want to know, I don't even understand girls when we give attention they ignore and when we ignore they start giving attention" Manik said sarcastically.

"What an idea Manik! Dude you helped me a lot" Abhimanyu shrieked as he got an idea to flatter Mukti. "Tum mujhe ye batao hua kya hai, Nandini aur Alya kya kiya in dono ne"
Abhimanyu asked as if reading Manik's thoughts.

"Alya, I asked her to be away from me but no she follows me everywhere in the hospital. Ye Nandini ki naam lena bhi bekaar hai, she doesn't even know how to talk, I thanked her but she taunted me" Manik said impatiently.

"Tumne kuch kiya hi hoga" Abhimanyu said without any doubt. "God sometimes I feel like tum mere friend kam dushman zyada ho" Manik said while Abhimanyu laughed.

"Chalo main ghar jaa raha hu, if you need anything I'm just a call away" he said before leaving. Manik hugged him. "Main tumhari girlfriend nahi hu" Abhimanyu said. "Thanks for being there today, you were there for mom when I wasn't there" Manik said as he tightly hugged Abhi.

Abhimanyu stared wide-eyed at Manik. "Manik are you sure tum Nandini ko thanks aise tho nahi bola na", Abhimanyu saved himself before Manik's smiles are changed into frowns. Manik sat beside his mom.

Cabir and Navya sat in the common room. "Sir sweets" nurse offered sweets to him. "Kis khushi mein?" Cabir asked her taking sweet.

"I'm engaged" she declared. "Jo bhi single hai wo mingle ho raha hai, bas iss gentleman ko gentlewoman kab milega?" Cabir said faking tears.

"Sejal, how dare you to reject me?" someone came there and asked the nurse. "Dekho I don't love you and I'm engaged now" she said showing her engagement ring. "If you are married you will marry only me" Sejal tried to push him and he tried to stab her with a knife.

"Cabir, dekho" Navya screamed as she saw knife in his hand. Cabir reacted instantly and luckily pushed him away and Navya saw Sejal injured. Cabir ran behind him but Navya shouted for him.

"Cabir, chodo usse, Sejal ki first aid karna hai", they both did first-aid for her. Sejal is horrified and is unable to talk. Navya informs Mukti about it.

"Sejal ki ghar walo ko call kiya?" Mukti asked them. "Yes ma'am maine inform kar diya, wo aate hi hoga" Navya replied. Mukti goes off from there and Cabir goes to see Manik's mom.

"Manik, you don't worry about me, I'm ok" Nyonika tried explaining Manik. "Mom, how will I go leaving you alone? I took a leave anyway" Manik didn't listen to her.
