Peat's POV

I was just in time for my first class in the morning.

My first subject was Biology which I didn't care for that much but still I needed to get to class on time because my Biology teacher was big on punctuality.

To Thanawat's credit, he did not push the issue about Dome during our breakfast. He dropped me off at my school without any drama.

At lunchtime I joined my buddies Fourth and Gemini at the student cafeteria.

"Hey, what's the matter with both of you?" I asked them when I noticed that they didn't seem to be talking to each other.

"Nothing," Fourth replied.

Gemini just shrugged his shoulders, not even bothering to reply to my question.

Okay, if they didn't want to let me into their private drama I wasn't going to insist.

We ate our lunch in silence.

I finished my lunch first.

Fourth grabbed my wrist when I made a move to leave the table.

"Unless you tell me what's wrong with both of you I'm not going to stay and be part of your awkward silent treatment to each other," I said, tugging my wrist away from Fourth's grasp.

"He thinks that I cheated on him." Gemini finally spoke up.

"You did too!" Fourth exploded.

"How can you consider chatting innocently with someone on line as cheating???" Gemini asked angrily.

Okay, I sat back in my chair. Things were starting to get interesting.

"It may have been an innocent chat but the person that you were innocently chatting with was your Ex! And that's how it all starts, from an innocent chat, to an innocent meeting, then it progresses to a date..." Fourth's voice cracked on the last word, he could not go on.

I turned my attention to Gemini.

"What are you up to, Gem?" I asked.

Gemini averted his face and did not answer.

"Tell us the truth, buddy," I insisted.

Before I could press him for a response, the bell rang to signify the end of lunch time.

We all stood up from our seats.

Fourth rushed out of the cafeteria but not before I noticed that he was in tears.

On my way back to the classroom I almost bumped into Dome when I rounded the corridor.

"Your new boyfriend is very good looking," he said, his face expressionless.

"Yes, he is," there was no point in denying that I had a new boyfriend now. "I'm sorry that we..."

"Shush," he interrupted. "I'm okay. In fact a have a date later this evening."

"Oh! I wish you much success on your date this evening," I said, and I meant it sincerely. I wished for nothing but his happiness, especially now that I had found my own.

"Thanks!" Dome said before he moved on.

At the end of my school day, Gemini and Fourth were still not talking to each other. I hoped that they would eventually be able to solve their issues.

I was walking out of the classroom at the end of my last subject when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I had earlier thought about placing it on vibrate while it was muted so that at least even without the sound I could tell if I was getting an incoming call or text message.

I dug out my phone from my pocket and saw the text on my phone screen. My heart jumped. It was from Thanawat.

My car is parked on the other side of the road from across your school gate.

I rushed towards the school exit and hurried  across the street as soon as the light turned green.

Thanawat unlocked the front passenger door.

I got in and leaned to kiss him.

He moved away before I could kiss him.

"Hey!" I protested. "Can't I even kiss my own boyfriend???"

"Not until we've had the talk that I have been waiting to happen since yesterday." he replied before starting his car and easing it carefully from the curb to join the flow of traffic.

I pouted at him even though I knew it wasn't going to have any effect on him.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked.

"To your house, where else?" he replied.

"Why to my house, we won't have any privacy there!" I protested. "My parents are probably home by now!"

"That's the plan," Thanawat replied. "I want our conversation to take place in your parents' presence."

"You're not serious," I said in total disbelief.
