57. Godavari and gift

The next day was Kanuma and we all just stayed home chatting and sleeping the whole day. At night we watched the Godavari movie. It is my favorite and I really want to go on such a trip. I turned to my Dad with my puppy eyes as soon as the movie was over.

"Are you for real, Chaithu?" Nanna asked eyeing me suspiciously. I nodded my head grinning. I really want to experience it.

"Please, Nanna. Please," I gave my best cute puppy look that melts him every time. 

"Pwase thatha," (grandfather) Viv joined me with his own adorable puppy eyes. Dev bhai shook his head at our antics. Hithu and I used to do this all the time in our childhood to get the elders to agree to our demands. But, now that idiot is giving the same boring looks as elders.

"What are you requesting for, Viv?" Aakash annayya asked him to which he shrugged saying, "Whatever bui is asking," making me pull him onto my lap. My nephew is such a cutie. 

"Pwease...." we both sang together looking at Nanna, maamu, and Mama and the three of them looked at each other before nodding at us with a smile, my lips tugged up into a grin and Viv was already giggling looking at me.

"Yay!" we both hi-fied. I got up with him in my arms and started twirling my baby making him giggle.

"Will someone please explain what's going on here?" Rakshith asked, confusion evident on his face.

"Nothing new, Chaitra made them agree to her new demand of going on a trip as shown in the movie," Hithen replied nonchalantly. My family is habituated to my atrocities by now and they are more than happy to fulfill all my meaningless demands. 

"You mean we are going on a ship or boat whatever it was? Like exactly as shown in the movie?" Akshaya chirped.

"I want the exact same type of trip Annayya. Not the love story and drama but remaining, yes." I turned to Akash annayya with the same puppy eyes and Viv joined me. When it's about arranging things perfectly, he is the best one for the job. 

"I will get that arranged," He agreed immediately. 

"You people are spoiling her too much! She is not your little princess anymore. She is going to get married in a few months. Who will bear all this madness there?" Mumma chided, glaring at me making me pout, and Viv, like a perfect copy of mine pulled out a pout.

"I will gladly do that, Aunty," Aksh spoke making me snap my head at him in surprise. I mean I know he will but didn't expect him to say it out loud to my mother and that too when she's scolding me for being childish. He's supporting my childishness. He gave me a soft smile before continuing,

"I will fulfill all her wishes, Aunty. She is going to become my Queen and she will be pampered like one. But she is also your princess. Her brothers are always welcome to fulfill the demands of their princess. I will join them in doing so," His words made me tear up but I pressed my lips together to stop myself from crying. I know I was lucky to get my family but this man, he's more of a blessing than luck to me.

"We will all  get spoiled together, what say, guys?" Rohan bhai asked and everyone hooted with a yes in reply making me smile at them. I will definitely miss my brothers there, but not the care and attention. 

"Don't worry Aunty. Bhabi maa will always be pampered no matter in which home she stays," Abhi and Rakshit said together and I gave them a side hug which they returned with a smile.

"Enough of being senti now. Chaithu, when are we going?" Hithu asked, in an attempt to divert the emotional environment around.

"Atha, we will go to Bharachalam with the first wedding cards, right?" I asked my Aunt to which she nodded in reply.
