"Izzie?"

Ryan hadn't expected to see Izzie especially when she had left Alex after he had told the Chief that he was worried about his wife, who wheeled an older looking man in a wheelchair, "Hi, who's this?" He said looking at the blonde then to the older man, "Mr Singer, he was my high school science teacher. A brilliant man. He really fought for me." Izzie said as Ryan looked at the man's hands that were clenched, "And he's the reason I became a surgeon."

Mr Singer looked at Ryan, "I appreciate you taking the time to see us, Dr Grey, but I promised Isobel's Algebra II teacher that I'd have her back in time for fifth period." The man said as Ryan nods his head, "Wait, I'm confused."

"So is he." Izzie admitted, "The nursing home diagnosed him with Alzheimer's, but he's been falling a lot lately, and I think he could have a brain bleed."

Ryan then looked down to the man's clothing, "Well, he's wearing an pyjamas and an overcoat." He said looking back at Izzie, "What'd you do, sneak him out in the night?"

"No."

Mr Singer then said, "Early this morning." Ryan gave Izzie a look, "You kidnapped him?" Izzie sighed, "Can you please just—can you sneak him in to see Derek? Put him on the schedule? Please?"

The Grey male sighed, "Izzie, you've been in Chehalis this whole time and the only reason you came back is to bring a confused, sickly man for Derek to look at?" He said to the blonde who nods her head, "Yes."

"We were worried about you! I was worried about you! Even Cristina was worried about you!" Ryan expressed to the blonde, "Look, please, can you just get him in to see Derek? I'll be back later. I'll be back, ok?"

"No." The male shook his head, "You cannot leave him here." Ryan said to the blonde, "I'm not going in there." Izzie said back to him, "You need to let Alex know that you're ok."

"You don't even like Alex."

Ryan shook his head, "I don't, but what you did wasn't right, Iz." He said to the blonde who shakes her head, "I can't go back in there." She repeated, "Oh, yes, you're going in." Mr Singer then interrupted, "So he got you pregnant, so what?"

"You're pregnant?" Ryan then said, "No." Izzie shook her head, "He thinks i'm fifteen years old." Ryan furrowed his eyebrows at that, "Right. Right." He repeated, "Those little bitches are poisonous." Ryan half smiled at that as he then looked at Izzie who sighed, "Ok, fine."

"Where have you been? You missed IL-2 appointment." Cristina Yang said as Ryan directed her and Meredith towards their blonde friend, "You told Cristina and Mer I was here? Who else did you tell?"

"Well, well, well, look who's back." Charles Percy said coming up behind them, "This guy? You told the guy that got me fired?" Ryan furrowed his eyebrows, "Wait, what?" Ryan then shook his head, "I didn't tell him."

Derek then looked at them, "Dr Percy is on my service today." Izzie sighed, "Oh!" Charles walked closer to his superior, "And I didn't get you fired. You did that all by yourself." The resident claimed, "Dr Percy, Dr Singer needs a full dementia work up." Charles nods his head, "Dr Stevens will give you the details."

"I wish Dr Stevens would give me all the details, but I'm just the person who saved her live," Cristina said looking at Izzie, "Ok." Cristina crossed her arms over her chest, "Do you know if you miss another IL-2 treatment—"

"I got my IL-2 treatment at Seattle Pres." The blonde admitted as Ryan looked at the blonde when he sees Alex approaching them, "I may not be a doctor here anymore but I'm not an complete idiot."

The blonde looked to where Ryan was looking seeing her ex-husband, who put the chart down onto the desk before walking away not looking once at his ex-wife.

"So, how do you like your present?"

Meredith asked as her, Cristina, Alex and Ryan all looked over at where Cristina's new cardio attending sat alongside the other attendings, "Who, Private Benjamin over there? Owen said she would surprise me. Well, guess what? Surprise! She doesn't how to do surgery."

"It was probably different in the army compared to how it is over here." Ryan said as Alex also added, "Leave her alone, it's her first day." He injected, "Why are you defending her? She went to state school."

"So did I." Alex said, biting into his sandwich, "Well, she's skinny and blonde." Cristina then said as Alex then added, "So is Mer."

The two best friends looked at one another when Meredith then looked at Ryan who shrugged his shoulders, "Well, she's annoying."

"So are you." Alex said making Ryan chuckle.

The cardio resident looked at her friend, "Where is your wife, by the way?" Meredith and Ryan looked at Alex, "Uh. What did you say to Owen?" Meredith then said to her person, "Oh, that she's gotta go. I mean, he knows how important this is to me. I need someone who's gonna take me to the next level, and he brings me, like, this Desert Storm Barbie who hasn't seen the inside of an OR in like, ten years? I mean, if this is what he thinks of my talent, then I'm-I gotta break up with him."

Alex chuckled, "Have you even talked to Izzie yet?" Cristina asked making Alex stop, "I mean, has anyone talked to her?" Ryan looked at his resident where Alex then said, "You know what? No one's allowed to talk about Izzie while I eat."

"Am I the only one concerned here?"

Alex banged his tray against the table before standing up and walking away from his friends as Ryan and Meredith gave Cristina a look, "What?" Meredith sighed, "It's my first day back. I just wanted to have a nice, normal lunch together."

"Oh, yeah, take a look around." Cristina said, "Nothing's normal." She then said making Ryan nod his head, agreeing to what she said.

"Hi."

Ryan Grey came up behind Teddy Altman who stood at the nurse's desk, "I just wanted to see who the new attending was for cardio," He admitted with a charming smile, "I guess that's me then, Teddy Altman."

"Ryan Grey."

Ryan shook the cardio attending's hand with a charming smile, "I'll see you around, Teddy." He spoke as he let go of Teddy's hand who smiled at the resident, "See you around." She said to Ryan who gave her one last smile before walking away from the new attending.

He loved new employees.
Especially the pretty ones.

"Actually, are you going to Joe's?" Ryan said stopping his place, "Where?" She asked making Ryan smile, "The bar across the street from here, it's where everyone goes, most of the time," Ryan admitted to her, "Uh, maybe."

Ryan nods his head, "Alright." He smiled, rounding the corner and entering the resident's lounge where he got changed into his normal clothes and out of his scrubs.
