KUNOT-NOO akong naglalakad papunta sa apartment. Up until now, I still couldn't get why on earth Danyl Soledad talked to me. For what?

I stopped from walking when I saw a familiar girl standing outside the entrance of the apartment building. Her lips were pursed as she looked at the gifted people who were giving her glances.

I raised a brow out of confusion. "What are you doing here, Dwein?"

"What do you think?" She gave me her signature mataray slash naiinis look.

I smirked. "Oh, you're visiting me! Grabe ka Dwein ha, masyado mo akong na-miss."

She rolled her eyes. "Can you please not do that?"

I laughed, before guiding her in the building. Pinapasok ko siya sa apartment ko. As soon as she stepped inside, she roamed her eyes around.

"Hmm." Tumango-tango siya at pinagkrus ang braso. "It's cozy."

"Oh wow, pashopping-shopping ka lang ah," she sarcastically said.

Nagkibit-balikat ako. "It's my coping mechanism."

"They didn't know that I'm here. We're not allowed to go here, at least, not now. Sabi nina Tito, dahil daw mainit ang mata sa atin ng publiko."

My jaw dropped. I turned to her in utter disbelief. "Then why are you here?" Dwein isn't the type of person who would disobey. Masunurin kaya 'yan.

"I know it's miserable to live in this place alone. At saka, bakit ba? Gusto ko lang makita kung anong itsura ng mga tirahan dito." She frowned.

"Bakit, lilipat ka?" I laughed.

"I don't know what Tito Andy is planning. They wouldn't tell us," she seriously uttered, ignoring my remark.

Sumeryoso rin tuloy ako. "They wouldn't tell you because there's nothing to tell. In my situation, sa tingin mo may lulusutan pa 'to?"

Napatingin siya sa akin. "But knowing Tito Andy, he wouldn't let this happen."

"Well, breaking news, it already happened."

"He wouldn't let this continue happening."

I scoffed. "Yeah. I hope so."

Saglit na katahimikan ang bumalot sa amin. My gaze unconsciously went to the paper bags on the table. "Anyway, I saw Danyl Soledad."
