KANINA ko pa pinagmamasdan ang bawat galaw niya. She was really doing it. Aria was really right about her.
I was inside my apartment unit, sitting on the armchair that was currently facing the door. Patay lahat ng ilaw dito sa loob at tanging ilaw lang na nanggagaling sa hallway sa labas ang tumatama sa mukha ko. Malaking nakabukas ang pinto kaya if ever na may biglang dumaan, kitang-kita ako rito sa loob na nakaupo at nakaharap sa kanila.
I kind of looked stupid. Para akong nanonood pero sa labas ako ng unit nakatingin. Thankfully, there were no gifteds walking in the hallway. There was only one girl standing there, leaning on the railings and looking out at the field.
Si Dwein. Siya ang kasalukuyan kong pinapanood.
It's already past 10 in the evening but she's still there outside, looking over at the field and waiting for a gifted person named Noel. Dwein said this Noel just got here the other day. A gifted person who used to trespass places and steal stuffs. Just like Kevin before. Teleportation 'yong ability niya kaya siguro madali para sa kaniya na magnakaw. The problem is that Noel stole some of Dwein's things. Some of her journals, two books, and two thousand pesos—stole straight from her wallet. Aria told me earlier this morning that she saw how pissed off Dwein was yesterday. She heard my cousin cursing that Noel.
"Feeling ko nga baka biglang sugurin 'yon ni Dwein e. Abangan diyan sa may hallway tapos suntukin. Nambubugbog ba 'yang pinsan mo?"
'Yon ang mga salitang binitawan ni Aria kaninang umaga. I only laughed it off because I know Dwein sometimes couldn't control her mouth every time she's pissed. But I wasn't expecting she would really wait for that Noel. Ni hindi na nga niya maalis ngayon ang mga mata sa may field.
"Do you really think makikita mo siyang naglalakad doon sa field ng ganitong oras? Girl, it's already 10 in the evening." I sighed.
"Shh! Zip your mouth, can you?"
Napangiwi ako. Ang init ng ulo. I watched her stood there, waiting for that Noel for few more minutes. Maya-maya'y napaayos siya ng tayo at nagsalita.
"The bitch is here."
Napatayo tuloy ako at agad na lumabas ng unit. I stood beside her and looked down the ground.
"Where?" Nilibot ko ang tingin sa baba.
"Just entered this building."
It didn't take long before I heard footsteps coming. My head turned to that direction and saw a tall and curly-haired woman walking down the hallway. I saw how the woman raised her brow at Dwein and then let out a short chuckle.
