Chapter 56
Nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kaniya. He arched his eyebrow and took a peck on the tip of my nose.
"Let’s talk now then," seryoso at napapaos kong sabi.
He was tucking some strands of my hair behind my ear when he froze after what I said.
"Hey... bakit? Is there something wrong?" I asked with a hint of concern.
Umiling siya. I pressed my palm on his forehead to check his temperature, but he went for my hand and started playing with my fingers. He even let my index finger touched the ring that I gave him.
He raised my hand and nodded his head as if he was encouraging me to obey him. I rolled my eyes and impatiently pulled the collar of his shirt to give him a peck. I left his lips with him still frozen. He eventually scratched his forehead while fighting his smile back.
I wrapped my arms around his waist and listened to the rhythm of his heartbeat. We were enveloped by a soothing silence.
He even groaned and kissed the top of my head.
My face turned crimson when realization hit me. "Hey, it’s okay. We’re in the right age to do it. I gave you my consent. Riv, it was amazing to do it with you."
Nag-angat ako ng tingin sa kaniya. His face turned red that I couldn’t help but laugh.
"Who gave you condoms?" I narrowed my eyes.
Tangina niya. First time ko lang, Daiyu. Promise."
I pursed my lips to suppress my laugh. "Alright."
"I liked it."
"Don’t worry about it, Rivo. Hindi naman magagalit sa’yo si Tita."
He glared at me as I was bursting with laughter. His gaze slowly softened.
He cleared his throat. He brought up my hiatus again.
"Seryoso, Daiyu. Tinakasan mo talaga ko nung nakaraan. Pa’no kapag kasal na? Kakabahan ka no’n kasi lifetime commitment ‘yon.
He pulled me back and wrapped his arm around my waist. "What are you talking about? Bakit ako tatakas? Before I even asked you for marriage, I had been certain that I wanted to be with you. I won’t leave you like that, love. That’s too cruel."
