First off, I know it was a series of twists and turns and its flaws were very evident. But I am committed to self-improvement, and so I am open to constructive criticisms.
I started planning out the entire Nightfall Series and writing its first story (Running the Risk) in May 2023, when I was going through a hard time. Nights became my golden days when I was writing Daiyu and Rivo’s story. It was hard to be consistent upon writing this, as I was in rock bottom over a considerable span. I wrote most of the chapters back in 2023, added some and retouched them in 2024, and officially published it in Wattpad during the same year. It took me a long ass time to finish it.
It is a personal achievement of mine to share a product of art and melancholy. It may come off as plain or a trite concept, but I wrote this as a tribute to my broken self. Writing this literally gave me a sense of purpose. It’s my first published story in this platform. It made me feel better.
To everyone who experienced some of Daiyu’s hardships, please keep holding on. I hope you find yourselves a ‘Dani’ or a ‘Rivo’ in your life. Kung wala man, pwedeng ikaw ang tumayong sila sa buhay mo.
I best believe that just like Daiyu, you will all get through this. Fighting, loves!
